I still want to draft Perine. Similar to Lacy in many ways, but fit, young, and could very well have a very good nfl career.
Would you cut Collins to do it?

This is good stuff. One year deal. Either take the year seriously, or be in trouble when you go shopping for a contract next season. He's only 25.

Between Prosise, Rawls and Lacy, we "should" always have a good back available.

It's so much more than that, lol, it's dinner and a show. Some crazy things go down in and around dicks after dark. I haven't been to dicks since I was a teenager.

Can confirm, even see shit in broad day light.

Last Sunday my buddy and I were fortunate enough to witness some dude shooting up in the bathrooms at the Queen Anne location.

Good times.

If you build it, they will shoot.

M Rob on NFL Network last night was HAMMERING about how bad a fit AP was here. Totally agree. So glad to see that loser hit the road. As of Monday, he was still in town.

Dang, really wanted Charles.

But if he can get 4 YPC and be reliable, this is a positive.

Charles is still coming in for a visit. So don't give up hope yet.

Yep. Assuming we don't lose a back to an injury in camp or preseason, which seems likely. Collins will make it to the practice squad anyway. Anyone looking at him will look at his combine and and scratch their heads on how he got drafted in the first place. Seriously some of the single worst explosion numbers of any back below 220 pounds that I've ever seen.

We're amassing quite the stable of oft injured RB's.

Maybe the FO's plan is to have 16 RB's, one per game.

Probably much ado about nothing. Rawls and Prosise will very likely still be 1 and 2 if healthy. If anything, this puts pressure on Collins in the 3 spot.

If they have him in mind as a FB, then I actually like this move.

I preferred either Murray or Lacy. As they complement Rawls and Prosise better.

Now go get Marcel Reece.

I have a feeling they will still bring in a back in the draft. Eddie Lacey will be situational

Definately. But 5.5m is kind of hefty for a situational player.

Also think none of the backs we retained are safe from competition.

I think the team loves Rawls but wants him to improve physically... Not necessarily more athletic but stronger, stouter, more flexible.

I believe Prosise would be better suited as WR-first/RB-second move player. Like a Golden Tate/Percy Harvin Hybrid. But one that is 6-0, 220 pounds.

If Collins ran like he did in college, Lacy would be redundant. It will be interesting to see how Collins responds as he is immediately in the bubble.

The draft is riddled with great backs. So giving 5.5m to Lacy is kind of frustrating. Plus, you still have McKissic, Pope, and Madden. With that said Lacy is probably the closest back to Lynch's ultra physical style we have a chance to get. If Lacy can stay fit under 225, and run like he did his first 2 seasons... he's going to earn that contract.

Last season was the first season that Lacey missed multiple games from injury. I would not call him oft injured personally.

I doubt the plan is to pay our 3rd string RB 5.5M.

This is not good news for Rawls, cause if Lacy makes it through camp looking like his old self, Rawls is the one that's going to be riding the pine.

Lacy probably knows that this might be his last, best shot at success. Hopefully, he can turn his physical hunger into an mental one.

Only $3m of that $5.5m is guaranteed. The rest will be bonuses linked to pies and cheeseburgers, and possibly the ability to stay away from them.

EDIT and let's not forget they paid Matt Flynn $10m to hold a clipboard.
