For some reason, Bobby Wagner didn't have his usual influence in the game. He finished with 3 tackles. He seemed off. I think the Prescott run magnifies this because this is an area that Bobby W usually locks down. It's unfortunate that he had an off game in the biggest game of the season.

It was a designed run. The center, the tight end, and Elliott all peeled off to block right away. The linebackers could have been caught off guard by such a call on 3rd and 14.

One of the things that will be an interesting off-season discussion is why our usually solid run defense was decidedly sub par at times this season. The revolving door at weak-side LB was a factor and there were some mistakes by our younger defenders that led to us being 22nd in large runs allowed (20+ yards). Still, I was expecting better for a defense that is supposedly built to stop the run.

True, but the guy in on the Dak play was KJ.

that being said running QB's add that extra dimension to the game. We saw it when Russell went in untouched.

We can't be afraid to run Russell just because he makes 30 Million dollars. Do whatever it takes to keep the opposing D off balance and move the chains. Right now he only seems to run when we are behind late.

While I agree, some of this is on Russell. We still run quite a bit of RO and RPO, and Russ doesn't keep it for what feels like 90% of the time.

He tends to wait until the 4th quarter and then he'll keep one or two to get first downs.

The Seahawks really need to shore up their run defense. Giving up 4.9 ypc over a 16 game season is terrible. That needs to be closer or under 4.0. That is what top defenses generally do - Baltimore Ravens, for example, gave up 3.7ypc, Chicago gave up 3.8 ypc, etc, even Dallas gave up only 3.8 ypc. This points to LB play being subpar. Of course injuries and suspensions had a big role in that dept.

When you watch the tape other than Poona who always plays with great leverage we were not very stout.

I would replace Jefferson and Stephen with more stout run stuffers.

Before you blame the LBs. Even when KJ and Bobby started together the run D was poor
