Here's my prediction for the draft picks:

Michael: Makes the roster and gets carries.
Hill: Makes the roster as part of the rotation.
Chris Harper: Makes roster as 5th receiver, gets plenty of action
Jesse Williams: Week 1 starter in Branch's old spot.
Tharold Simon: Simon, Thurmond, Lane and Maxwell will battle for 2 spots. I think Simon goes on practice squad, or maybe stash him on injured reserve.
Luke Willson: practice Squad
Spencer Ware: Either makes squad as 5th RB/Fb, or gets stashed on injured reserve. But does not get cut or hit practice squad.
Ryan Seymour: Cut or practice squad
Ty Powell: Cut or practice squad
Jared Smith: Cut or practice squad
Michael Bowie: Cut or practice squad.

I still expect to bring in a veteran o'linemen or two (think Frank Omiyale type signings) that will end up being our active roster o'line depth.

Good stab. Can't argue with anything.

Only wild card for me is I expect Clemons to be on PUP to start the season. And I think Powell will make it ahead of Bradford.

I'm higher on Michael Bowie than some folks. I dunno if he makes the team, but what I've seen is impressive. He could easily have gone mid-draft if he hadn't transferred out of OSU. Keep an eye on him as a surprise/sleeper stud. 7th round be damned. He's got the best shot of any of the UDFA/low round picks to pull a Baldwin and end up on the team.

Would be shocked if Simon got cut. They seem quite high on him -- PC/JS revealed that he was the guy that they actually traded up for, not Jesse Williams.

At CB, Sherman, Browner, Winfield, Lane and Simon seem like virtual locks. I think Thurmond has a great shot of making the roster, but he might be competing with players at other positions for the roster spot (Winston Guy, for example).

I am thinking Clemons is on the PUP to start off the regular season. Bowie is intriguing to me. He looked pretty good against South Carolina when he was at OSU. He could be a diamond in the rough to back up Giacomini. They are thin at Tackle so somebody has to take on the Frank Omiyale role. JSea is probably correct, they may sign a veteran to come fill that spot.

Powell is another sleeper pick, maybe he has them thinking of giving Howard the boot to get the numbers for the DL? Or McDonald if Howard is rejuvenated under Quinn/the DL coach?

Some folks are raving about the UDFA Polk, comparing him to Hamlin for striking skills. Does that put Johnson/Guy/Maragos in jeopardy? Not sure.

Sadly, I think Jeron Johnson, a guy I really like, will be on the outside looking in, assuming (and this is a big assumption) that Thurmond stays healthy.

We will have to see how he does, but I definitely think so.

Maragos is a RFA (1.3mm i think?). Will we really re-sign him after this season? No, we need a cost controlled back-up that has potential. Polk could be that guy.
Guy was absolutely awful last year, he needs to step up in a big way or he is gone. I have heard he is more focused and in way better shape this season, so thats something.
Johnson, I think is safe this season. However, he might have trade value (7th) if we feel comfortable making Polk his replacement.

Brilliant. No need to add or subtract from this (IMO).

I think something is amiss with the running backs. Lynch may have an injury we do not know about. To draft two running backs, when you could argue it was one of the strengths of the team, says a lot. Micheal is not a 3rd down scat back as some on this board have referenced. He is a big time talent who weighs 220 pounds and runs a sub 4.5 forty. He is a starter and has potential to be a difference maker at running back. I don't think you draft a guy like that for special teams and occasional muck up duty. We drafted him to produce now. But why? It could be that Lynch wore down as the season progressed and they want someone to split carries with him. They obviously do not think Turbin is up to the task. We will see how this shapes up...one thing is certain...PC and JS think this is a position that can be upgraded...which is saying a lot.

Taking running backs made absolutely no sense to me during the draft. Now that it's over and I've had time to mull the logic, it's fairly obvious. It's more than just "best player available" at the time of the pick.

Michael was taken because we don't want to see the running game fall apart over a Lynch back spasm. Turbin has not appeared to be able to pick up where Lynch left off.

Ware was taken because we were completely dissatisfied with our third and short production. He is a guy who can change that for us.

There was an open roster spot after Leon's release. Perhaps the only truly open roster spot on the team. Why not fill it with the best talent available? Don't read so much into it. Should they have drafted someone with less talent so they'd be more suited for the #3 RB position?

We don't draft people to "produce now" as you said. We drafted Michael in the same area of the draft that we drafted Russell Wilson in 2012, and Wilson was by no means guaranteed to start his rookie season.

I am less in love with the Michael pick than I was initially. Too frequently I am reading "has trouble holding onto the ball". Only time will tell but all this "potential" and "upside" will be for not if he puts the ball on the carpet with any regularity. I try to put this out of my mind because I know Pete won't tolerate fumbling and wouldn't have drafted him if this was a concern (right?).

I see others are not so high on Harper. I am stoked with this pick, he is exactly what Pete has been looking for and the one (type of) WR we needed to complement the others. He won't get pushed around, he plays with attitude and he won't be asked to play any other way under Pete. I anticipate instant chemistry between he and RW. Is anyone happier than Wilson with our off-season additions??

Simon is a bit of a project but he will have the luxury of learning under the league's best. He will definitely prove to be a solid (and necessary) pick, IMO.

I love the Ware pick. Love it. As vicious as Lynch is, he is not a great goal line back and even if he were, I'd sooner someone else be taking those hits.

Hill and Williams? I think they are what they are and will be exactly what we need them to be. Blue collar, lunch pail types that will celebrate the glory of the guy next to them. ;)

(2) QB: Wilson, Quinn
(3) RB: Lynch, Turbin, Michael
(2) FB: Robinson, Ware
(6) WR: Rice, Harvin, Tate, Baldwin, Harper, Williams
(3) TE: Miller, McCoy, Willson
(4) OT: Okung, Giacomini, McQuistan, Bowie
(3) OG: Carpenter, Seymour, Sweezy
(2)OC: Unger, Moffitt

(3) DL (under 290): Avril, Irvin, Bennett
(4) DL (290-320): Mebane, McDaniel, Hill, Scruggs
(2) DL (over 320): Bryant, Williams
(6) LB: Wagner, Wright, Smith, Morgan, Farwell, Toomer
(6) CB: Sherman, Browner, Winfield, Lane, Maxwell, Simon
(4) S: Thomas, Chanchellor, Margagos, Guy

(3) ST: Ryan, Hauschka, McGrath

(PUP): Chris Clemons

(8) PS: QB, Jerrod Johnson, WR Jermaine Kearse, TE Darren Fells, OG/DT Jared Smith, DT Jaye Howard, LEO Ty Powell, LB Kyle Knox, and DB DeShawn Snead.

Yes, I have the Seahawks keeping 5 RB/ 6WR. I like both Harper and Williams. I have Bowie making the team, as well, I think he'll work hard under Cable and take everything Okung has to offer like he did when they were at Oklahoma St. I think Ryan Seymour will be more valuable than JeanPierre having played OT, OG, and was backup OC for Vandy. I think Willson is further along than Fells, and offers more from a weapon standpoint than McGrath. However, as my biggest surprise on the roster, I have McGrath theoretically winning the long-snapping role over Gresham and adding value at TE as well. I love positional versatility. I just felt if their wasn't a chance for McGrath to become the long-snapper, Seahawks would have just signed Gresham long term as he's done well enough.

This would be my ideal list- But then again I always root for rookies to unseat vets, because than that tells us the talent is continuing to improve on this roster. IMO there are a number of vets who will have a hard time keeping their jobs, when you factor in their contributions relative to their paycheck. I think this draft gives the staff younger and cheaper option, especially those that are mainly ST's contributors.

QB-2- Wilson, Brady
RB/FB-5- Lynch, Turbin, Michael, Robinson, Ware
WR/TE-9- Rice, Tate, Baldwin, Harvin, Harper, Williams-- Miller, McCoy, Willson
OL- 8- Okung, Carpenter, Unger, Moffitt, Sweezy, Breno, Bowie, Seymore,
24- Offense

DT- 5- Mebane, Williams, Hill, Howard, McDaniel
DE-5- Irvin, Avril, Bryant, Scruggs, Bennett
LB-6- Wagner, Wright, Smith, Toomer, Wilkins, Morgan
CB-6- Sherman, Browner, Winfield, Lane, Thurmond, Simon
S-4- Thomas, Chancellor, Guy, Shead
26- Defense

3-ST's

Assuming none of the presumed players to start on the 53 man roster what do you think?

My opinion is the only spots open are a tackle, #6 receiver , #3 TE, One versatile LB, and a battle for one spot between Winston Guy and J Johnson

As Follows :
OL
Okung Carpenter Unger Moffitt Giacomini
Jeanpierre? McQuistan JR Sweazy _________

QB
Wilson Quinn

RB/Fullback
Lynch Michael Turbin Ware Robinson

TE
Miller McCoy _______

WR
Harvin Rice Tate Baldwin Harper _______

DL
Mebane McDaniel Williams J Hill Bennett
Red Bryant Clemons Avril Irvin

LB
Smith Kj Wright Wagner Farwell (special teams specialist.). ________

CB
Sherman Browner Winfield Thurmond Lane Simon

Safety
Thomas Margagos Chancellor J. Johnson or Winston Guy (not sure)

Special Teams
J Ryan Haushka Gresham

My opinion: add a vet tackle, possibly Luke Wilson for TE, Wr competition for 6 th spot could be Willams here, and the battle for LB, maybe Toomer

I think your going to have to drop one player as you did not have the backup QB listed. The 53 man roster has to have a backup QB.
