Kiss the ring, bitch.

That quote is just beautiful. Need anything else be said? That should be the mantra for all the coming troll nonsense this next season. Hell, that should be a t-shirt.
And then we can be like all those 49ers fans who rely on past glory because they are incapable of making reasoned arguments.

Let's not become them just because we joined the "won a Super Bowl" club.

Sherman is not a shutdown corner because he has a ring; he has a ring because he's a shutdown corner.

Ya..but Sherm is better at life than Patrick Peterson. That's why Obama invited Sherm to White House Correspondents dinner. Didn't hear about Peterson getting such an invite.

"Patrick Peterson, you talking 'bout scheme? Way to be clueless or ignorant or egotistical." said THE #1 DEFENSE IN DVOA tTHE LAST 2 YEARS.

p.s. PooPoo Peterson... Sherman is a genius and a leader off-the-field when it comes to film study and because of that he makes everyone around him better mentally. Where Thomas has physical influence on the field that helps promote the scheme, much of Sherman's influence is off-the-field pseudo coaching the LOB with player-to-player counsel. And that is a chunk of the reason why a group of no name late round draft picks with 4 or less years of experience were able to play like 8 year Vets while becoming the most DOMINATE 2ndary in the NFL... Okay PooPoo Peterson.

For reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal though, all Patrick Peterson is doing is selling himself, trying to sell himself as the best all around corner in the NFL, which I don't mind, the more PP makes, the less the Cardinals can do.

And we know like 80% of the general fans know for a fact because of facts that Sherman > Peterson.

So, give P2, 16 mil per @ Arizona, makes Sherman's contract look like a slight steal.

Sherman is not a shutdown corner because he has a ring; he has a ring because he's a shutdown corner.

Until we're dethroned as SB champions, PP can at least respect that fact and wait until the 2014 season is underway before he starts flapping his mouth.

Isn't it harder to cover multiple different types of receivers than one receiver where you watch tape and figure out their moves? There aren't that many ridiculously talented receivers in the league anyway.

Well the fans that watch NFL Network agree. Richard Sherman is not a shutdown corner even though all the numbers say that he is.

Patrick Peterson is one of those old time train engineers that shovel coal into the burners of a steam locomotive.

The fire is really hot right now. The boiler is at maximum pressure.

A dis on Richard is a dis on the LOB. A dis on the LOB is a dis on Seattle's identity. These remarks will fire the entire team up. There is a special place in their collective hearts for the Cardinals now.

Post Super Bowl letdown?

Thanks Peterson. As if Richard needed a chip on his shoulder. Peterson's words almost guarantee a spot in the HOF for Richard now. This is enough fuel (considering the hashtag poll as well) for the next three seasons let alone the upcoming season.

Man, I hope this gets under Sherm's skin in the best way possible...and I hope he puts in his best season yet in 2014 to shut everyone up the eff up for good.

While everyone is out in the clubs, he'll be studying up every opponent, every reciever on the schedule.

Then he hits up Harvin, Baldwin, and Richardson in his own time (during down time or after scheduled work-outs) to practice one vs one and just studies every single one of them until his margin of error against smaller, quicker WRs is almost non-existent.

Being an utterly dominant cover-3 corner is a lot better than being a CB who moves around a lot but gets burned all the time.

Just sayin'. His Opp. QBR doesn't support any claim of Peterson being an elite corner. Would people know him if he wasn't a top 10 pick and a special teams star?

"Special Teams Star" isn't quite true either. If you look at his rookie year, yes he was a special teams star with 15 yards per return and 4 TD's.. SINCE THEN he's averaged 8.4 & 6.0 in 2012 and 2013 respectively. That's well below average. The last 2 years he's been a "MEDIOCRE RETURNER". (in Sherms voice)

as a niner fan, seeing both these corners 2x a year, sherman is the definition of a damn shutdown corner. crabtree made PP look stupid a bunch of times. Hell, I get nervous seeing sherm cover our recievers.. but its a debate between potential vs actual greatness.. kind of like megatron (sherman) vs dez bryant (PP).

It may be true that PP has to do more "work" than sherman, but in the end its all about results and sticking to the game plan. it doesnt mean PP practices harder, because I know sherman puts in WORK. Sherman even knows when recievers blink..probably indicating they'll get the ball or something.

"Looking forward to Dick Sherman’s downfall."

Reading comments like this is just sauce for the goose! How long will they keep saying this? Do they truly, honestly believe that in their hearts?

Been hearing that ever since Rich first started his braggadocio. They better get ready for a long wait.

Honestly, how many teams even have a true #1 WR? Not many, we sure as hell haven't had a #1 WR in about 12 years. So when he plays us, StL and SF he's not really playing anyone in the mold of a Rice, MegaTron or Mike Irvin mold. So he's playing a bunch of guys who are, talent wise, 2-3 type WR. The very top WR in the NFC west resides on the Arizona team, and Sherm shuts him down when he goes against him.

When you have other corners like Peterson and Haden constantly trying to compare their numbers to justify their worth all it means is they subconsciously know they are not on the same level of ability.

The reality is that Sherman has placed himself at the top of the group by his proven numbers and they just don't like it.

But honestly though who cares.

Keep talking NFC West, next up the Rams, one thing that happens when you piss off the Boom, you get the loss in that column that drops you lower in the standings.
