In this instance, he absolutely DID outcoach the GOAT. Pete was prepared for that last play, and it was a thing of beauty.

Devil's advocate here.

If the NE roster is that inferior, and yet they took it to the final play of a 1-score game, wouldn't that imply that the better coaching performance was on the NE side? The better coaches are the ones who get more out of less.

That's worth asking, doc.

And what would that say about PC's overperforming teams of the last few years made up of mostly later-round draft picks (since our firsts are either traded out or don't live up to the expectations of many) or the undrafted?

But, Pete doesn't play defense and he wasn't the one who gave up a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. That was on the players too. Not just one call.
