I've posted on a lot of message boards, I'm more of a fan of the NFL than of an actual team.
I will say, out of any NFL team out there this board has the weirdest obsession with the 49ers.
Half of your posters have the 49ers mentioned in a sig or avatar.

You do realize that the majority of the time, its a link to a 9ers forum thread? Which is almost always a thread bashing on the hawks.

I find it hard that the irony isnt seen here by either of you two. Chicken or the egg, it doesnt matter. The 16 page thread mentioned here is nothing but bashing on the hawks and their fans. And then in the same thread, complaining about hawks being to arrogant and bashing on their team. Its insane.

Kind of hilarious we are on page 1 with 30 posts while they are on page 42 with 636 posts and we are the ones obsessed. And no their is no rivalry in the Niners eye, it's just a big coincidence there is 300 times more posts about the Seahawks than all other teams combined on their site. They actually went through and deleted 1000's of posts from other threads about Seattle. Not only are they obsessed they are fully embarrassed how obsessed they are. Consider also that thread of 632 posts is only a few days old.

Consider for just one second how many pages and posts would be on the webzone if we were constantly having players arrested, in fighting in the FO and multiple players holding out through training camp. That web site would explode. What if Wilson had a girl end up in the hospital after smoking weed with her and getting her to trashed to function?

Niner fan: You guys suck. You just got lucky and the officials made sure you won. Now give me respect for what the team from 30 years ago did.

The difference is that most of the Hawks fan would at least give the Niners credit for being a good team.

The Hawks have kicked the crap out of them 2 times in the last 2 seasons, beat them in the playoffs, but that doesn't matter. According to the DenialZone Niner, the performance of the previous SB winners following season in past years is solid basis. Having a target on their back (as if they didn't have it last year) is another. So is losing a few players. Never mind that everyone in the division lost some talent, the ones that the Hawks lost are going to be catastrophic.

Remember earlier when they were saying "wait until they have to pay Sherman" or Thomas, Bennett and Wilson? That was going to destroy the Hawks. Don't hear much of that anymore.

So they can't come up with a single reason to substantiate their bullshit, but it is already assumed that the Niners will dominate the Hawks in 2014.

The games with Wilson vs.Kaep have the Hawks scoring 28ppg and the Niners scoring 13ppg. In fact the last game the Niners scored more than 19 points against the Hawks was week 1 of 2011. Hard data that cannot be argued, but THIS season will be different because the other Super Bowl winners didn't have the same success.
