Owners/coaches/teams allow players to act out if they are very good. Once they are not good enough, they dont deal with them.

I don't think this is the case. He's on pace for a typical Bennett season. The Patriots just seem like an organization that doesn't want defenders freelancing on defense, and that's kind of Bennett's MO. They probably told him to stick to his assignments or he'll lose playing time. And if your Michael Bennett, you're probably wondering why a team traded for you, but doesn't want you to do what you do which is freelance. I understand his frustration. Everyone who knows Bennett could see something like this coming though.
