Its all hypothetical fishing for an opinions kind of thread.

Its unfortunate that some peeps have to to make it personal on some level.

Obviously, I didn't need to include Kearse part of the deal but I chose him because he's actually one of the only players on this team that is expendable and has good trade value.

I could have "hypothetically" traded a draft pick but I thought looking at the Titans roster was Spencer was the entirety of their Interior Line depth at LG, OC, and RG. They only have 8 OL on roster. So, hey maybe they'll need a little incentive to part ways with valuable depth.

And before anyone continues to say I'm underrating Kearse's value, I'M NOT, or I wouldn't have started the conversation with the Lockette and Norwood "IF" statements I made.

Also, if you followed my 32 QUESTIONS thread the over/under projections I made were numbers I thought were achievable. For Kearse, my line was 600 yards, 8 TDs. So, I'm not underrating him any way.

What I didn't realize was how successful and effective Wilson-Lynch-Harvin would be and how they leave little opportunity elsewhere, especially with a QB that can spread the ball around to 8 WRs per game and its normal.

And its really not about Chris Spencer or Leon Washington... its the idea of needing better interior line depth. I just chose Spencer because of the familiarity and knowing he has started games at OC, LG, and RG. So, it was about the experience.

What this thread ultimately comes down to is, if Max Unger gets hurt, how much do you trust Steve Schilling to pick up the slack?

What if Carp goes down as well and Okung. All of a sudden you have a line that consists of Gillam-Bailey-Schilling on the left side, and imo opinion if Schilling as to start games at OC it would be no different than the situation we put McQuistan through last year that he would be playing out of position.

So this thread wasn't trying to get rid of Kearse because I think he sucks or trying to obtain Spencer/Washington for nostalgia, it was an idea of taking the excess of value at a position we can afford to lose a guy and using that to mend the cracks of the team where needed and right it would seem we have issues with Interior Line depth with the loss of Jeanpierre, trustworthy PR, and now CB depth with Lane and Simon out.

And all this whether if the idea was good or bad... was a possible solution for two of those problems. Nothing more, nothing less.

I would suggest that if your going to go hyperbowl just like in the Wilson thread you say it in the title versus baiting the forum for your amusement at the reactions as you stated.

On your trade, Spencer was shipped out because he wasn't good enough, not here and not in Chicago as a guard. Washington is moved on and his salary for a plain Kick Return Punt Return guy was not of value.

Kearse can return Kicks, play on special teams, play in the offense and actual be a weapon.

Trade a young, promising WR (and ST ace) who you can control for two more years at low cost for an old return specialist and old, replacement level OL (who wouldn't even play)?

No. Just no. A million times no. These guys were essentially already cut by Seattle for nothing in return. Why would they trade an asset to get them back now that they're older and even worse?

If Norwood is looking great in practice by the Seahawks bye week, and Lockette continues to be integral, how would you guys feel about this hypthetical trade possibility:

Seahawks trade Jermaine Kearse to Tennessee for OL Chris Spencer and KR/PR Leon Washington.

For the Titans:
Kearse would be a great jump ball possesion WR for Jake Locker and would complement Kendell Wright and Nate Washington well.

For the Seahawks:
Spencer would be great interior line insurance to replace Jeanpierre.

And Leon Washington... yes, please report to Punt Returning duties as soon as possible.

I know many of you would hate this because you don't trust Harvin to stay healthy as well as grown a soft spot for Kearse (I know I have). But looking past the attachments, Kearse is an RFA after this season, and I think with the depth that the Seahawks have now at the position, you can afford to lose him and give Lockette, Richardson, Norwood, and Luke Willson those opportunities and chances for experience. Right now Seahawks have more than enough weapons to lose a Jermaine Kearse and be fine but have glaring weaknesses at PR and interior Line depth that sooner or later could catch up to them in a negative way.

So, would you want JS/PC to pull the trigger on that if it was available?

no, No, and NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was liking this thread thinking about the interesting prospect of a improving rookie and how to find a way to get him some playing time on the active roster. Instead it turned into a ludicrous trade scenario. Chris Spencer sucked even in his 1 decent year here. He adds zero value to this team. Neither are worthy of a roster spot, Imo.

Well, we all have to admit, the OP did include "junk food" in the title of this thread.

How was I baiting at all? I had a thought, obviously I didn't think it was the greatest idea ever since I went with the label "JUNK FOOD".

I wasn't trying to stir the pot and laugh at the reactions... I was legitametly trying to get a feel on such a trade and how the room would feel.

Obviously, I got my anwsers and apparently I suck for trying to have a discussion on hypotheticals.

This and the Wilson are nothing alike, btw.

This was just some random trade scenario I cooked up... In the Wilson thread, I wasn't day-dreaming in lala land... I just satirically beat around the bush that he was pretty much an elite QB. So, yeah I don't know how this andthat .Are alike, seems like you're pressing a bit.

I guess in the future, I'll refrain from going against the grain and stop myself from adding perspective whether its a good or idea or not.
