Pete gave the impression in his press conference after practice that Simon would continue to get more work and although he doesn't see him playing this week, he should be back for next week's game (barring any setback of course)

Good lord! :34853_doh:

Listening to Carroll ...... sounds like the knee icing was just a post activity precaution.

The Saga continues.

Carroll noted Simon will not play in the second preseason game. So .... his return will be preseason game #3 at the earliest.

Better now than week 4. I think we'll have things more or less sorted by then.

Not sure I can ever jump on the Tharold Simon bandwagon anyway after that Super Bowl performance. I know that might be unfair but I really hope we find another option.

I hope Simon can get healthy. He gets trashed for his superbowl performance but that doesn't mean he can't or won't ever get better. He was injured and forced to cover guys he can't cover very well. Last year was basically his rookie year and he played without a training camp.

Hate on him if you want, but he's got a huge ceiling and I'd love to see him reach it or get close to it here in Seattle.

Do they still not like the depth in the Secondary?

What depth ?

Right now, Sherman is day to day and questionable for the next game. Seisay just had a groin issue as does Blackmon. We're down 3 CB's.

You have to sign camp bodies because if you just "run with what you got" through TC and practice, you're going to wear down your guys on the roster now, and maybe get them injured as well.

In true fashion though, you have Pete and John checking thing out. If these guys come in and look way better than someone we have, it's likely we churn the bottom of our roster to upgrade depth.

After getting drafted last season DT- Jimmy Staten has finally ended his ping pong on roster, ps, waived, ps, roster, waived, ps, etc., etc., etc., status, and has been claimed by another team, at least until the cut downs. I wish him luck he was a bit of a gamble and another superior athletic specimen who needed to learn to play his position. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in due course. The team has a few superior prospects now and he became expendable.

I though he had a solid outing last week but have no clue as to how he practices. In the end I wish him nothing but good luck.

Until we get some guys back the LOB isn't playing, and hasn't yet.

The Hawks are quite nicked up in the secondary and there are lots of guys here who are just here to fill spots.

Am dubious that any of the new guys except the draft pick are likely to make the roster over the hold overs but am anxious see about Seisay.
