Lotta excitement for nothing. However it seems like almost every direction points to him signing with us now. I'd be very surprised he didn't, there's been really no other possible suitors named.

It's not for nothing, just means they're close.

Allen wouldn't have come back at all if the two sides didn't already have 95% of the deal worked out before he left Seattle last week.

They will be in the rotation with everyone else. What makes it such a good signing is that Allen will be rested. That is just ridiculous to ponder.

Ian Rapoport on the radio either yesterday or Tuesday basically said that Seahawks don't have much of a shot at signing Allen because they wouldn't meet his demand. I think this is just him crossing his fingers and hoping something terrible goes wrong in the negotiation and he doesn't end up in Seattle.
