Its funny because Mavins homer glasses arn't as thick as half the posters on this board. Marvin gives all you and your team complete respect/ props and yet you mock the web zone for the same thing you do to him albeit not as brash(If this forums rules were not as strict I doubt there would be any difference). The one thing we can all agree on is why he bothers trying at all in the first place.

He posts in topics concerning the 49ers, he stays within the guidelines, he may not be popular to some but he's refreshing in the way that a bunch of people here wanting to just bash the 49ers without someone to at least raise a thought on things is pretty boring in it's own right. Until then he is a member of this Board from the opposition, or is it better we become the Webzone or the Redskins forum or maybe the ESPN forum, so insecure that we complain and ban or refuse any thoughts but our own to exist.

Is that what it is Chris? Refreshing?

Marvin's goal...

Marvin1.jpg

Really Marvin? "Break them from the delusion"?

Perspective... That is Marvin's biggest problem. Since many of us have opinions that don't line up with Sensitive Sam we lack perspective. If Marvin has a problem with it, why even post here? I have an idea, don't read it Marv.

The best part is the "theyhave never won anything, so they don't know what it looks like"

Marvin2.jpg

Perspective again... "all I ever ask for is perspective" . Why is he asking for anything? Is he saying we don't have perspective? I think it is more like "Look at my perspective" He even says it "Too bad others can't have that same perspective" They are talking about K-Choke by the way... Great stuff.

Marvin3.jpg

This is the "They do this, they do that and we don't" post. I rarely read a post that mentions Wilson as a better QB than the names mentioned.. in fact I might have read one or two since he was drafted. But those guys on the DenialZone? They don't talk KaeperPick up.

Marvin5.jpg

Total nonsensical... YEAH ROLAND!!!! You got him good that time! HIGH FIVE!

Sure Marvin. Its like that, but go ahead and continue to stay.

Marvin6.jpg

Ahh... Deer in the headlights. We don't need pictures to prove it Marvin. It is a Seahawk's board and a lot of us were at the games, we actually witnessed it first hand.

Marvin7.jpg

Again... Those guys on .net... They aren't like us.

Marvin8.jpg

Ah... Perspective.. Which appears to be very close to "agreement" As long as you don't idolize Wilson and don't care for Carroll, you have perspective. Which is Marvin's goal.

The lunatic fringe? This is Marvin folks... seriously.

Marvin10.jpg

29-3
23-17
EliminationFromPlayoffs=True
NinerSuperBowl=False.

Apparently Marvin had a problem with the 42-13 thing.. It wouldn't get any better for him.

Yeah.. Marvin makes refreshing contributions, with a goal of breaking the delusions.

I DON'T GET IT.

I'd draw you a picture but all I know how to do are stick figures and wieners... Don't ask. It goes back to my childhood but I don't like to talk about it.

[edit] Okay, so I may have read Loaf's post and assumed that it was yours. Again, don't ask why. That said, LOAF... you're trying too hard.

Marv posts on here because there is objectivity even though we are all blatant homers. Many times he is treated here better than he is on his own board. BUT I would love to hear why the youngest team to win the superbowl is going to be knocked off by an older aging team. Offensively Cable has said our guard play will be the best in football. I have NEVER known Cable to blow smoke up people's butts. If that happens, with the addition of our all pro center and pro bowl Tackle forgetting our defense for a minute, how are you going to stop this offense? Please any Niner fans how will your team stop us?

I dunno, how did you guys lose to Carson Palmer?

On a serious note, Harbaugh, Roman, and Fangio get paid to worry about that. Its my job to drink beer, cheer, and yell at the TV.

Trying too hard at what? Is it any of the following?

Delusional
Lunatic Fringe
Nonsensical
Lacking Perspective

Stick figures and Wieners?

Dude, Palmer is the Shiznit.

He flipping OWNED the Hawks. When he brings that ball back to pass, the fear sends electricity through my spine, creating a paralyzing effect. I call it Carsonicity.

He teased us with those 5 picks, then ripped us for a MASSIVE day.

Well, they are a pretty good football team. I suppose that they can start there.

I need you to know that the quoted post sounds like someone trying to play the arrogant Seahawk's fan role, or someone being completely sarcastic (I can appreciate that) or really a arrogant Seahawk's fan.

It is just my opinion though. The Niners can beat the Seahawks, it just isn't going to happen in Seattle. :49ersmall:

That's exactly my point, when you have 2 Qb's playing for you, the best Def of the last 5+ years and beast mode as well as the entire 12th man behind you against a team with no running game how do you lose?

Bad luck and our offensive coordinator enjoying banging his head against a wall.

Seriously, how many times do you think the Seahawks lose a home game in which our defense caught four interceptions? All due credit to the Cardinals for winning that game, but yeah, let's see them come in here and do it again.

They are already digging the holes up at Greenwater (Forest Road 70) for the post game Police escorted funeral procession after their next visit.

The correct answer is any given sunday. Its why championships are decided in January and not in August before a regular game is even played. Anything can happen and its why football is different from basketball and baseball. All you have to do is make it to the playoffs and you have a shot.

I don't like him because he ran off the field like a child after losing, mocked Newton with the "Superman"...

I actually loved that part. Nothing beats the "WWE" styled showmanship of mocking another team in their own stadium, from an entertainment standpoint. One of my favorite NFL games of all time was the "star" game with T.O. and Emmitt Smith in the late 90s.

Newton planned on getting revenge with a bicep kiss after that but never got back to the end zone.

Did you also like the "Sharpie game?"

I appreciate what he brought to the table for us. I hate his ego and his antics were embarrassing. I am of the school of act like you have been there before. I don't like Kap kissing his bicep but I understand why. I just wish he could of come up with a less egotistical looking celebration.

Sorry Chris but how is it refreshing?

I think some of us would like the opportunity to see an article like this, debate (as Seahawks fans) about the subject matter, without every thread turning into Marvin vs the world.

Some of us don't just want to trash the Niners all the time. It'd be nice to have intelligent debates about Seattle vs San Fran between ourselves. We ARE capable. And this is a board predominantly if not exclusively for Seahawks fans.

But I think sometimes the opportunity for that type of intelligent debate is completely lost because Marvin starts up his crusade and another 'us vs them' battle begins.

Threads are getting ruined. Humour and debate is being lost. It's just Marvin vs Seahawks fans every time his team gets brought up.
