I saw that as soon as Earl caught it. As long as he did not use the ground to aid in catching it, which he didn't, and has complete control, which he did, then he's good. The ball at that point simply becomes an extension of his hand.

Nevertheless, I was worried that someone else might have seen it differently, as I've seen on so many occasions this season where officials, even the super center back in NY, have missed calls or no calls like that.
