It's not a choice between Avril and Wagner. You can get both done. Heck, you can get Wright done as well. It would probably mean sacrificing Miller and either Mebane or McDaniel.

If Carpenter plays like he did last night and improves he may get something as well, problem with him do you see continued improvement or regression with a nice contract.

If you read any of the Twitter nerds that crunch the salary cap numbers, the consensus is that we'll have enough cap room to resign Wagner if we let both Wright and Smith walk.........maybe even cut Irvin and save that cash if Marsh keeps playing well at the SAM.

That's a good deal IMO. Wagner makes that linebacking corps go, he's young and only going to get better.
