That's what they were saying on 710 last week. First I had heard of it, but man that would be nice to have that bat in that game.

I think that means that Cano is eligible for a regular season game 163 in the event we tie Oakland for the 2nd wildcard berth but he is not eligible for the actual wildcard game.

We definitely need his bat for 42 crucial games though.

We traded Chase De Jong for Zach Duke. Is he any good?
A Vet LH who hasn't gave up a HR yet this year.

Eveeyome saying Adam Warren was a huge get. Then some are so so on on zach duke. However zach duke will be a left specialist. Also, we resigned scrabble to a minor league deal.

I like the additions to the pen. Between the three new guys, we should see a lot less of Nicasio, Lawrence and Vincent. My guess is Jerry and Servais want to shorten games by going to the pen early. There just isn't a market for starting pitchers, at least none of the decent ones we can afford. Expect to see some long games with plenty of trips to the bullpen.

Helluva night. Pax is back, and I think he can keep the 'stache. 7 scoreless, only 80 some pitches.

Colome danced a bit, but got it done. Diaz still dealing.

Always good to win the first game of a series, especially against a team ahead in the standings.

Not a lot of O, which is to be expected against Cole, but Cruz smacks a two run double down the left field line.

Cole is flatout a stud. Seattle scored 2 more runs than I thought they would against him. Nice to see Pax comeback and dominate, and fast Eddie keeping em in the Park (all be it barely).

Yeah great win tonight, I had a feeling it was going to be a low scoring game. Astros offense has really struggled as of late.

Impressive three consecutive hits with two outs to get on the board. I wonder if Bregman was at third if he would have gotten that ball that Cruz hit.

I think this game went just how we want, Paxton, Colome and then Diaz. Although I am really excited to see what these new guys bring to the bullpen. Unfortunate bee likely will play this entire series without Seager. I still think we add a position player, most likely an outfielder. Wouldn’t mind upgrading from Romine also.

Did you see the clip in the post game show. They showed Diaz watching the ball with a worried look on his face. When Span caught it on the track he was all smiles.

Before Roland goes grammar nazi on you, it's albeit, not all be it. By all means though, don't change it. It'll just annoy him. :D
Tomato, tomoto. Besides it will give iRo something to gripe about. He might be a grammar Nazi, but he’s our Grammar Nazi! :2thumbs:

Also strong rumor that felix will be removed from the starting pitching rotation if get a starter.

I had a feeling we would add an outfielder, Dipoto kind of mentioned it in his comments yesterday. From what Dipoto said yesterday, sounds very unlikely we add a starter and that Felix will likely make his next start. With that said, I really hope we add another starter. I don't think I can continue to watch Felix pitch another game.

I feel like we will but not until waivers. The market isnt there right now. We did get Leake last year on waivers so fingers crossed we do something then.

Hate, Hate, HATE the Maybin trade on the surface. Bryson Brigman has looked like a flat out stud infielder in the minors. Young kid. Maybin is on his 7th team in 4 years. That says a lot.

Well, I don't feel nearly that strongly about it, but I don't really see the point. Maybin is not an upgrade to Haniger, Span, or Gamel, and is only a slight upgrade (if that) to Heredia.
