This guy is confused. He has a Giants logo, but says this:

I hate the Seachickens too for that 2014 Championship Game and their fans are complete jerks.

I also hate them for the Fail Mary in 2012 when the officials gave them the win over us. I know we have had calls go our way too though for winning games so I can’t complain about that.

(That Seattle vs Packers Numbnuts! And Pete's gameplan in the 2014 NFCCG was absolutely Genius!)

I think the Giants logo is gratis from the board - the name above the logo is that of a packer's fan. I got confused at first when I read that comment too.

They have to live in the most depressing place in the country. Being abrasive is all they have.

I'd rather live in friggin' Detroit.

I can't be the only one who sees the irony of someone on a Seattle Seahawks forum saying this.. considering Seattle has the highest suicide rate in the nation

That's a pretty hefty bit of self awareness that a great number of message board fans seem to severely lack.

Do most Seahawk fans live in Seattle? Interesting question. I doubt it. I bet more fans live outside the city limits than within it.

I lived in Harlem 125th Street with my band in 1989. Moved to the Village in 1990...Talk about a dichotomy. If you love architecture, arts, restaurants with plenty of diversity and highly populated city living that never seems to have a true sleeping phase, then NYC is the place for you. Like any city in America you have your slum/squaller sections (ah, nothing like the smell of urine and feces) and your well-to-do areas of affluence. If you are curious and have been thinking about going I would recommend it. Central Park in the Fall is spectacular. I was there most recently last Fall and I have casual photos that look like postcards.

As for the people, meh, I wouldn't get worked up about their attitudes. You need a thick skin, not take things too seriously and you will be fine. They are loud, brash, opinionated and could give a flying you-know-what, what you think. But it's been my experience once you get to know them (and they get to know you) they soften and are for the most part cool people.

One of the tourist T's you will come across says "WELCOME TO NY! (Now Get The **** Out!). Pretty much sums it up!

When I served in the Navy, they packed a bunch of us sailors from every corner of the nation into a small frigate for a long deployment. That is where you truly get to know folks. You have no place else to go. You can't get away from them. My impression of the New Yorkers is that they are the funniest people I have ever met. Every last one of them. They crack me up like no others. The accent just adds the final flair. That type of humor probably wouldn't fly in today's world though.

Yeah, absolutely. There is a lot of stuff to do here. There is a lot of diversity of what to do as well.

A lot of people who live here will downplay all the touristy stuff, but I still find that stuff enjoyable and if you get tired of that, lots of less touristy stuff to do as well.

It's an incredible city.

I’ve always found it somewhat fascinating that maybe one single, obnoxious fan creates this stigma and perception that all other fans of that team are automatically the same as that one single obnoxious fan.

I feel all fans at some point may meet or experience some kind of interaction with a bad, douchey fan, and collectively think, “Gawddamnit, I hate all their fans!”

However, some cities have more “blunt” fans and that are more “aggressive” than other fans of other cities.

The New York culture breeds this fanbase. Citizens of New York are thought to be “meaner” and do not “sugarcoat” their feelings, so, if they feel you have some issues with them or have slighted them in any way, their first response may be to get hostile.

I’ve always thought there is a culture difference for sure between the west coast United States and east coast United States. Not surprising that the fans of these respective coasts will have disagreements and conduct themselves differently and even be more aggressive than another fanbase.

I never had any issues with the New York Football Giants or their fanbase but in my opinion, fans of both the Giants and Jets, probably just have a “beef” with everyone since it’s ingrained in their New York culture to be that way, a little bit more, volatile and hostile. And if you are hail from Boston, New Yorkers really hate you!

Lol.
