I think Servais genuinely believes that Ray is his best starting pitcher after Castillo.

And if he coached the Seahawks years ago he probably would have started Matt Flynn over Russell Wilson.

I’m a huge Servais fan but that was an awful decision to go with Ray.

I would have pulled Ray immediately after he gave up the 3 runs and put Kirby out there and milk him. Still would have had Gilbert ready to go tomorrow.

They went to Sewald. I don't think anyone expected that to happen... If I could trade the runs for losing Brash for tomorrow I would with hindsight. But without knowing that Sewald was going to crap the bed in the moment I think they made the right move. They're lined up currently to have every BP pitcher available tomorrow which is a big advantage.

Yep, I get it. Even so, I would have left Brash in for another inning and I was surprised they didn't with his pitch count and the way he was pitching. Oh well.
