We brought him in for a look, but with Clemons potentially out, do we sign Ray. A Falcon earlier in the season and could help with the playbook....

I'm sure the playbook part could help, but he's also probably the best option out there right now.

I'm not as concerned about the pass rush aspect of missing Clemons as coverage/run defense.

He'd probably be extra motivated since the Falcons cut him earlier this seasons.

Ahhh, let's wait and see the final prognosis on Clem.

MRI scheduled for Monday just reported on the Seahawks postgame.

I think it would be ridiculous if Edwards could help beat the team that he quit on earlier in the season. If he's "IN" he definitely fits with our F.O. philosophy.

I say give it a shot if they can. Clem is most likely out for entire playoffs.
If he works out beyond these playoffs, cool. If not, get someone else.

Even if its for 3 more games. He just needs some Carroll style motivation.

Mentioned in the other Ray Edwards thread that Radish spat his dummy out about. (We won, have a day off).

Suspected ACL according to PFT. I'd post the link again but can't be bothered to dig it out.

if clemens can't play no reason to not bring him in, even if it's just for depth/insight into the falcons scheme

Any word on Clem?

Saw a tweak where the Seahawks supposedly are afraid he has an ACL. Others are saying kneecap. Tough break. But we have been healthy all year due to our superior training so no worry.

Well we need someone for depth purposes if Clem, and it seems to be the case, is out for the rest of the playoffs. I would be ok with bringing in Edwards.

I don't know if you can sign anyone thats a FA at this point of the season, not sure but I thought rosters got locked at a certain point as you go to the playoffs.

Wasn't that safety we picked up off the street (working in a real estate office) prior to the 06 wildcard against Dallas a free agent?

You can sign free agents at any time. (You can't trade players after the trading deadline, but there's no "locked" rosters at any point, and yes, the PP is right, we did pick up a guy who was working in an office job, I thought selling insurance, before one of our playoff games.)
