Damn! Nice hit JP inches inside the LF line.

Woo came through, Muny with another blown save. La Pietro on the bump tomorrow.

Better matchup than Monday for sure.

He hit .200 in the lead off spot last year. If he regains his 2023 form then sure.
Locklear batting .295 in Tacoma can he replace Solano yet?

He had a really poor season last year. He hit .200 overall, not just in the lead off spot.

His BA and OBP so far this season are basically identical to what they were in 2023. Kinda looks like maybe he has regained his 2023 form (so far).

Who would you prefer hit lead off for this team right now? JP looks like the best option we have to me.

Been hoping to see that for a couple weeks now. 🤷‍♂️

Seems like Dipoto can be pretty stubborn with these things. The guy stuck with Kolten Wong until the end of July 2 seasons ago.

On the bright side, it does look like Solano is seeing the ball better. At least he put the ball in play a couple times tonight. Where he was just waving the bat earlier this season.

Gritty win for the M's

Suck on that, Yankees! Man, that was fun. Solano def. sucks, but the Yankees got a HUGE break on that shot down the line. You could argue that even though he ultimately struck out, that was his best at bat all season (Solano)
A couple inches to the right and they have another run. They also got a break on that horrible throw.

Oh well, great pitching on both sides, just a good battle and much needed win. Still gotta' get out of this slump, but that was a fun game.
Also, Goldy calling them the Evil Empire. His stock just keeps rising, and it was already up there. He's damn good.

More clearly biased balls & strikes today for the Yankees. Tellez called out earlier on a pitch clearly below the knees & strike one to Raleigh that was comically 4 inches outside.

Mastrobouni leading off and pitching to Judge in the 8th. Cmon, Dan.
This love for Mastrobouni has to stop. He's playing everyday. SMH. Vargas was the perfect guy to get lit up by Judge, no sweeping off speed pitch, just a meatball right down the middle. You could see that coming from miles away.

Smart not pitching to Judge in extra innings last night. Not smart pitching to Judge in the 8th in a tie game today. Take your chances with literally anyone else, not the guy hitting over .400 with an OPS over 1.260.

Garver with no chance against ANYONE. I don't recall him being this big of a sissy soy-boy with the Rangers. Just too many like him on the roster & too many utility scrubs, it's catching up with them.

We knew Judge was going to be the hero.

14 strikeouts doesn’t show a lot of discipline.

These umpires put a lot of pressure on both teams,
They didn’t know what to let go by in fear of a lousy call.
