I think this was the first year ever that we drafted my top pick and man oh man I sure hope it turns out like I hoped it would. If he turns into an AD wrecking ball we'll be a force.

I think we got really lucky that he fell to us at 16, I believe he was the best DL in the draft. The fact that the Lamb's were trying to move up to get him as a replacement for AD also says something. If he can meet expectations and get up to NFL game speed we are on our way to top 5 defense for sure.

Dude has never been out of shape. But I like how Coach Mike won't hesitate to call guys out. Accountability is going to be something different in Seattle.

I have no doubt he will do what it takes when you read what Leonard Williams said:

"He understands the game already, which is really nice to see. A lot of times you see first-rounders, rookies ... they have all the physical attributes but they still have to kind of learn football a little bit. Whereas he seems like he kind of has that under wraps already. So they did a good job over there at Texas teaching him football. Also, he's just a hard worker. That's the No. 1 compliment I can give somebody is that they work hard."

He said his model is Aaron Donald. He’s not going to be satisfied with anything less than Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Yeah, I saw that. They figure the voters will just count which DE has the most sacks. A 3-tech guy has to really excel to get the recognition, but Jalen Carter was close second last year on a dysfunctional defensive line, so don't count out Murphy yet.
