I always liked him. Thought he would be Boldin 2.0.
Hope he makes the roster Williams/Walters

Maybe that's why he's here?
No, he's not a return man. Below average athlete with no play-making ability.Wartooth":1g43q11p said:Doesn't this guy return punts and kicks?

Was it Keary Colbert?nanomoz":2wrbrbxz said:I remember a few years ago, when the hawks were relying on Ruvell Martin, a 1-kneed Koren, and the guy we gave up a pick to the Panthers for who was Awful.
Doucet probably won't make the team, and he'd have been the #1 on that 2008 squad by week 3. Times have changed.
Doucet had one moderately productive season two years ago. Beyond that he's "proven" to be a significantly drop-prone bust with no athleticism, no versatility, no special teams ability, and a long injury history. It's not simply about what you've done, it's what you're capable of doing moving forward. Williams and Kearse (by all accounts) have had strong camps, are younger than Doucet, more athletic than Doucet, have better hands than Doucet, and have substantially more long-term upside than Doucet. There's no chance of the Hawks investing a roster spot in a guy like Doucet when they have countless other options with significantly better potential, if not the same amount of actual game experience.hawkfan68":259q9316 said:To those who say that he can't beat out Williams or Kearse. What have those guys done that Doucet hasn't to this point? Doucet has proven himself as a legitimate WR in the league. Someone pointed out that he had 54 receps and 689 yards in 2011. That would have been in the top three for Seahawks the past couple of years. Neither Williams nor Kearse have proven they can do that. Competition is good so it will be interesting to see how the final WR corps look like.

We don't know that, and in the case of Kearse, I completely disagree. But regardless, that still doesn't change who Doucet is (or isn't).T-Sizzle":56gwj91n said:NorthDallas40oz":56gwj91n said:Doucet had one moderately productive season two years ago. Lets be honest, none of them will be on the roster 2 years from now.

Also, was that the Michael Bumpus year?
