Would Okung be re-signed if his contract were up this year?

Maybe. It depends if you can sign someone better for the same money. It's a business as well. They are looking for the best player for the money in a cap era.

If you could get 80% of Okung for 1/2 the price would you do it ? That's what goes on behind the doors... Count on it.

Hell yes he would.

We see how valuable he is right now. Pro Bowl Tackles don't grow on trees.

Yes. Absolutely. Look around the league and you will not find many good tackles and if you have one, you keep him.

Guys missed more games than every LT from 1977 to 2009 combined. I did the research a few weeks ago. We need to go out and draft a new LT. Resign Okung and let the new guy beat him out of the job.

Is that the new stat website straightfromtheanus.com ? What a ridiculous comment. Whats the point of being sarcastic on the internet without tone :p

Every tackle drafted in the first round last year has struggled.
I fully agree that Pete and John should have been a little less zealous signing pass rushers, and maybe brought in some Olinemen.
But really good offensive linemen are kinda rare.
You have 32 teams, and when you think of the really good linemen, most of them were developed over time.
It would be hard not to resign him, with out some one better to step in.
I really thought he was going to be problem free this year after doing that MMA training in the off season.
But then again, his injury was as 'flukey' as they get.
Here's hoping he can come back and help when it really matters!
