Wow! Hawkblogger just said exactly what I said in my thread days ago about trading some combination of Woolen/picks/Haynes to a team for an older proven vet G, and they even mentioned one of the guys I targeted, Joel Bitonio. So I guess my thinking wasn't so crazy after all. I had Teller on my short list, too, I just didn't put it in my post.
Bitonio...a guy we passed over... Thanks Pete..

Hard for me to believe that anyone would be interested in trading for Woolen. He should get a pink slip this morning. Along with Anthony Bradford. These are the best available???

If you actually look at the numbers, he's not as bad as some would think. But the costly penalties, and receptions allowed during critical times due to lazy technique is inexcusable.

He does not play Macdonald style ball, with the tenacity and fire of say Jobe. Who hasn't been playing perfect ball either, but at least he'll make a play on the ball, and he'll come up and make a tackle.

For those reasons I'd take him over Woolen as our starter. And let's please give that Kendricks kid some more snaps, see what he can do.

Yep. He drafted Woolen. He knows his physical skills. It's not out of the question that he would think he can fix this dude and get him locked in.
