Did anyone know this? I mean, other than the team? I had no clue.

What’s interesting is that until Winfield was hurt, there really wasn’t any tangible evidence that he was struggling with his play. He usually ran with the ones in practice, and he started the Denver exhibition game when the Seahawks began in a nickel to defend the Broncos’ offense. That was his last real action before suffering a knee injury in practice that held him out of the next two games.

He may have received a medical diagnosis on his knee that might have required surgical repair, hence, his decision to retire.

He looked pretty slow in the Denver game. If the injury came after that point, then it was probably a good idea to quit while he was ahead.

It was mentioned on Seattle sports radio at least once during the preseason that he was being held out due to injury. But what difference does it make. You do know he has retired, right? You might want to edit your title.

Thurmond played at a high level in preseason and may prove to be a better punt returner than Tate. Thurmond's one handed interception was a big time play.

He can play slot against the likes of Victor Cruz.

Kam and Earl will have to be the run enforcers in nickel packages.

There. Changed the title to try and please at least most of the people most of the time. Geez, people, we haven't even lost a game yet and we're fighting over semantics?

People were just messing with Jazz. At least I was. I think you missed it.

His post title was just fine.

'thus released'?? 'Thus'?

are you saying he was released BECAUSE he was injured?

I dont think that is acceptable.
