I would say a quicker release makes an OL so much better.
I might just agree on this point to a degree. And the flip side of that argument is that even the highest paid, elite opponent rushers so often were rendered ineffective and looked foolish while RW bided his time and then unleashed a throw for some serious yardage. The only thing I disagree with is how you think he'd be better with an elite OL?
It wouldn't matter with a limited QB who makes 1-2 reads and takes off all over
the place, zero OL can block for a QB like Me3.
That is why the Hawks didn't bother wasting too much cash on one.
Yep, look how much better the Broncos OL got in one year when the only changes they made were swapping out their center with a fifth round pick from a few years prior and replacing Russ with a rookie QB. They literally went from bottom third in the league to one of the best. The only thing I disagree with is how you think he'd be better with an elite OL?

Where was it that I said I thought he could have been better with an elite OL? All I said was that he played behind a subpar OL, which I think is fair to say. Of course, he would have been better playing behind an elite OL. Who wouldn't? The question is how much better. The only thing I disagree with is how you think he'd be better with an elite OL?

The camera adds 2 inchesIsn't he too short to be able to succeed as an analyst/commentator on TV?
He can’t play behind an elite line cause he wouldn’t be able to see. Why do you think we kept Joey hunt around…Where was it that I said I thought he could have been better with an elite OL? Like every quarterback, playing behind an elite OL would have helped Russell's performance, but I don't think it would have made a huge difference. IMO it wouldn't have been good enough to raise his play to the level of a Brady, Brees, or Rodgers in their primes. Those guys had points in their careers where they played behind some less than perfect OL's, too. It's something that every quarterback has to deal with.

Joey Hunt? He had 11 career starts for us.He can’t play behind an elite line cause he wouldn’t be able to see. Why do you think we kept Joey hunt around…
I was joking aroundJoey Hunt? He had 11 career starts for us.
All I said was that Russell would have played better behind an elite OL. What quarterback wouldn't have? I don't think that's an outrageous statement to have made.
11 starts was 11 too many for a 5’11” center on roller skatesJoey Hunt? He had 11 career starts for us.

Well, he's listed at 6'2", but I don't disagree with your take. We haven't had a decent center since Max Unger.11 starts was 11 too many for a 5’11” center on roller skates
With his roller skates onWell, he's listed at 6'2", but I don't disagree with your take. We haven't had a decent center since Max Unger.
He might have been the fastest player to his butt in historyWell, he's listed at 6'2", but I don't disagree with your take. We haven't had a decent center since Max Unger.
No, you were not!I was joking around
He said he had an elite line in Denver and Pitt, it really didn't matter.Joey Hunt? He had 11 career starts for us.

It doesn't matter what Russell said about his OL's. He's always going to tell people, including his teammates, what they want to hear. The fact is that PFF had the 2022 Broncos OL ranked 21st, or bottom 1/3 in the league, certainly not elite. He said he had an elite line in Denver and Pitt, it really didn't matter.
Shhh…. HahahaNo, you were not!
I believe they were actually hoping it would help him see over the middle.
Imagine all the times they were holding their blocks and Russ wasn’t even back there anymore hahaha!!An OL plays with Wilson will suffer a bit on their ranking, OL players will suffer a bit on Their stats.
I am pulling the following out of my axx, without adequate foodball knowledge or supporting stats:
I suspect OL found it diffcult to protect Wilson.
- Wilson avoid throwing short medium center in favor of medium to long sides.
- Wilson also avoid timing and anticipation stuff in favor of able to see the receivers.
- His preference led to needing just that bit more time. Overtime, he developed his trademark running in circles.
