William Moore was fined, as expected for his hit against Tate last week. After the game he told a reporter that he expected Marshawn to be fined for his stiff arm against Moore (awesome pic in this article). It's also interesting that it was the largest fine handed out for an NFC player this year.

Anyone know if Marshawn got fined?

i'm so sick of this defenseless crap, unless it's blatant keep the hankies in your pocket. Prime Time said it best,

"Did he put on his helmet and pads before the game started? then how is he defenseless"?

"it's almost impossible to play DB in the NFL right now".

Sorry, old and grumpy and sick of this pussified league...

I don't really see getting rid of crown-to-earhole as "pussification". It's a common-sense type of change that will actually make the game better, IMO.

ya i know. it should have been a helmet to helmet call not defensless player.. What Tate did to Sean Lee last year was hitting a defensless player, which I had no problem with.

I think its kinda funny that the story is about Moore yet they post a pic of Lynch's stiff arm.

There's no such thing as a defenseless player penalty -- only defenseless receiver -- it is always called on a LB/DB. It can't be called on the offense.

And H2H can also be flagged under 'defenseless':

(b) Prohibited contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture is:
(1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping him; and
(2) Lowering the head and making forcible contact with the top/crown or forehead/”hairline” parts of the helmet against any part of the defenseless player’s body.”
