Will DK or Lockett get traded?

Daniel Jeremiah told Brock and Salk today that he thinks the best Seattle could get in return for DK is a 2nd and a 3rd. That would be very disappointing, IMO.

A 2nd AND a 3rd would be a great deal for Seattle. I'd do that trade in a New York second.

I guess it all depends on who your trade partner is. If it's KC, for example, now you're looking at the very bottom of rounds 2 & 3, most likely.

I doubt it.

Locket is a good receiver and he’s reliable. I think a lot of teams, especially ones with young quarterbacks would benefit from him as a safety blanket, but considering his age even if there was interest at best you maybe get a 4th or 5th for him.

DK has all the physical traits you want but he’s been around enough to where people know his ceiling is slightly above average, and that’s if he’s balling. Maybe two years ago you could get a decent haul from him but now, at best, you’re getting a 3rd for him.

The NFL trade deadline is November 5. We play two more games between now and then and both will be tough. Those games will determine if we're trading for a playoff run this year or looking ahead to next season.

DK fumbles too much, and has a big contract extension coming. He admitted his lazy route-running caused one of Geno's picks. We are loaded at this position. This is a trade that could happen, and it would not break my heart.

I wouldn't say we are loaded exactly. JSN can be a good #2, and we have an aging Tyler Lockett who might not even be here next season. Other than that you are left with some question marks. That being said, it's easier to win in this league with a good o line and average receivers than it is to win with a poor o line and good receivers. That's why I'm not opposed to a DK trade if the price is right.

I have a hard time seeing Lockett agreeing to a trade. I think he wants to retire as a lifetime Seahawk.
DK's skillset would be very hard to replace. I like him despite his warts. I think the main thing is for all our guys, and maybe especially DK, to take it upon themselves to do the job the play calls for them to do. That would eliminate a lot of the "miscommunication" errors. Try to be heroes together instead of by themselves.

He didn't say anything about being lazy. The pick wasn't from a lack of effort; he saw an opportunity for a bigger play and erroneously cut upfield, which took the two of them off the same page.

Regardless, DK has always been overwhelmingly supportive of his teammates and would never throw one of them under the bus. I suspect he's the kind of guy (like Pete) who would take 100% of the blame for something even if he wasnt really 100% at fault.

Nicely done, now I need some Tums
hahaha, sorry dude.

I gave the topic some thought, I came to the opinion that DK may not be a team's best choice as their WR1, he is an excellent WR2. How one could convince him of that would be the challenge.

I came to that opinion based on:
  1. Hands, SK has big hands 9 7/8", but he drops and fumbles balls regularly.
  2. Speed, despite his 4.38 speed, he seldom ran away from defender Randy Moss style, both in creating separation and YAC, perhaps Randy's 4.25 was the difference?
  3. Jump ball, DK at 6'4" with 40.5" vertical jump, he doesn't win jump ball consistently.
DK should be undefendable, but he is. With a bonafide WR1 next to him, DK would be that homerun guy but not the one who gets 10-15 opportunities a game.

my 2p.

You will not get what you think you will get for DK
