Who do you feel is the "safest pick" of this draft but most likely will end up underachieving in the NFL? I have a feeling that Aidan Hutchinson is that player for me. I don't believe the hype on him.

Kyle Hamilton will fall victim to the tweener curse.

Thibodeaux. I'm a big Duck fan but he seemed to disappear in games and if that happens in college, I'd bet it will happen in the league. Too high a pick to do that.

Don’t think anyone sees Thib as a safe pick, he’s the definition of boom or bust.

Derek Stingley. His performance the past 2 years, and his injuries make me think he's "Rashad PennyEsque." He'll be continually dinged and never live up to the hype everyone poured on him since his great play when on an extremely talented LSU National Championship team.

I can't escape the feeling that the 2019 team benefitted him in so many ways, playing with a lead, a great defense, elite QB/OLine/WR play.

And it's absolutely IDIOTIC to value a player so highly based on his play 3 years ago. Makes me wonder if he throttled it back after that year.

If you mean someone with a perceived high floor, it's probably Hamilton. He's extra similar to Curry in that he plays a non-premiere position, and I've seen a number of people calling him the best player in the draft regardless of position.

The word "safe" has largely become triggering to Hawks fans, but keep in mind that the safest prospects in last year's draft were probably Penei Sewell and Micah Parsons, who had All-Pro caliber rookie seasons. But yeah, nobody is completely bust-proof.

With all the pass rushers highly touted it seems likely there is a Dion Jordan type bust likely.

Drake London for me. When i watch him in film even highlights he just doesn't look elite in any way.

Yeah, other than great hands, ability to get open, massive catch radius, refusal to be tackled by one person, he's hot garbage.

Hamilton. I get some shades of Curry from Jermaine Johnson, too.

None of them are super close comps, though. I don't think anyone super highly rated is quite that Curryish.

He kind of reminds me of Mike Evans who has turned out to be a stud but just doesn't suit my eye.

I also thought while Curry was drafted way to high for his position at least he would have been great at that position for years. Moral of the story is i could be way off.

Travon Walker. For a guy who is as good of an athlete for his size he should have been a lot more productive on a very good team, seems to be more of a workout warrior

He also was about 90% of USC’s offense. Everyone knew the ball was going to him, and he still made plays. If he hadn’t broken his ankle on his last TD after getting it rolled over, he’d have had an excellent chance of winning the Biletnikoff. His stats in only 8 games were ridiculous.

There’s no way to know for sure whether Drake will succeed in the NFL. But I’m not going to count him out. He’s a competitor. He will give it his all.

Penny had a relatively injury free college career, but his pro years sure has been filled with injuries.

My first thought was Aidan Hutchinson but then I watched his highlights, and I think his game, physical and mental, and his motor, translate to the NFL in a Watt-brothers type of way. He just has so many ways he can win, and a nonstop motor. So I think he will be a perennial Pro Bowler if he stays healthy and goes to a team that uses him to his strengths.

My second thought is Malik Willis, because he's been able to out-athlete nearly everyone he's faced in college, and in the NFL he will have to develop parts of his game that he never had to before. I think Willis will eventually be a good NFL QB, but it may take until his 3rd year.

Hutchinson is not a Watt Brother type. His ceiling is Winstrom when he was a Seahawks . Mark it down.
