WOW, that body language speaks VOLUMES! Russ's and the team's!
To me it says Russell has realized he's a poser and needs to actually do the work to fix his game, to perform as an in-structure, on-schedule QB at least some of the time.

It also says, from teammates, "You're not only not our savior, you're the weakest link. Another loss, another incredible defensive effort wasted. Thanks for nothing..."
And "glad-handing everyone is only meaningful if you're actually performing on the field. Poser!"

Man.. as much as I want to relish in that.. I .. uh.. feel bad for him now tbh. It’s kinda sad. And it’s a shit feeling I’m sure to have everyone ignore/cold shoulder you. Another hit on your confidence.. and his perspective of his self worth had of taken a hit .. if he’s realized it yet.

I mean I’ll root for his team to loose, but personally I don’t wish for anything negative on him. Gosh that’s sucky. He put himself there in that spot., hope he can snap it. Instead of “reflecting on god” he should reflect on his roots, and his father.

We used to hear a lot about his father. Not so much when he bake the brand or his “what about Me” movement.

I don't feel bad for him the least little bit. He did alright until his ego grew to the point where VMAC couldn't contain it. He tried strong-arming the team. He put Pete Carroll and many others in awkward situations. He lied to the fans about wanting to stay in Seattle for his entire career. He made himself exceptionally wealthy while crippling his new team. He bought the most expensive house in Denver. He indulged his egomania with cringe videos and commercials.

He has earned every single bit of his faceplant. And since I get to watch it happen while he's QB-ing for another team, and the worse he does the more we directly benefit, I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

Outside of needing him to lose as many games as possible for our draft pick, I never really wanted anything bad to happen to Russ. I appreciate what he brought to this team and he was an important (even if that importance got inflated in retrospect) part of two of the best seasons in Seahawks' history.

But, I can't lie: It feels good to have been so quickly and thoroughly vindicated in the arguments I have had regarding the limiting factor for our offense and how Russ was not the player that he--and a few members of this board--thought he was.

The idea that Pete was 'holding Russ back' has been so thoroughly and utterly debunked and we're not even halfway into the season.
