All really good teams have a core of players they try and keep together and then make roster moves around them. Who is our core? For the sake of the thread you cant choose more then 10.

Mine:

Russell Wilson
Okung
Unger
Lynch
M. Robinson
ET
Sherman
Wagner
KJ
Mebane

Earl Thomas

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, we need a healthy Clemons, it was more evident today that Irvin is not the future Leo of this defense.

I like those, I just feel like Miller should be in there somewhere. Dude is clutch and Wilson trusts him. I kind of feel the same way about Tate. I was amazed at his stat line after the game. There are so many guys I love.

I don't think Tate is core, I think he should be grateful he is on a team with a QB who is likely to be great and is committed to making him better.

Miller went Beastmode last 2 games!!!

nothing but the best of care for Miller, his hospital/rehab room should be fitted with stripper poles and table games... :thirishdrinkers:

I was trying to keep 5 on offense and 5 on defense. It was between Miller and Michael Robinson for that final spot. I have a feeling that Robinson's leadership is one of the key's to this team that maybe none of us realize. Its nothing against Zach. I hope we keep him around for sure. He's just barely outside the top 10 for me.

This will be an unpopular opinion, but if the "core" is the group we keep together for years to come I don't think Lynch makes the cut.
Don't get me wrong, he's an important player right now, but when I name 10, I'm naming 10 players I expect to be with us through to 2020, and as a running back, Lynch won't be here that long.

With that in mind my 10 are:

Wilson
Okung
Unger
Sherman
Wagner
Thomas
Tate
Miller
Mebane
Wright

Those are the 10 players I think we should build around

Got it. i just swear i saw a healthier, younger witten out there today. after he surpassed 150 yds my immediate thoughts today were about the team making sure he stays a Seahawk for awhile.

Impossible not to name like 25 guys, including backups and ST guys, but that's where I'd start.

I leave Lynch off because well...his shelf life is expiring quickly. He's got 3 years left max, before he needs to hang it up. If he's going to last that long the workload has to shrink and get shifted to throwing the ball. Not sure if Turbin will become what Beastmode is for us, hope by next year they can be interchangeable.

But we desperately need more help at DE. Irvin will get better but he doesn't have the size to be a run stopping every down end. Gotta go hard in the draft for some linemen and find more WRs in the FA market.

These playoff performances have me starting to doubt in Lynch, tbh. Why wasn't he in on that 4 and 1? Could be wrong, but I heard he took himself out. I don't care if he's pooped, or has an ouchy foot. He's getting millions to be our #1 weapon, dude needs to keep it up. Turbin is imoressing me more and more, and most surprising to me, he has a hellacious pair of hands! Wilson to Turbin in the flat or on a short route has been highly effective, and the kid can knock our some serious yards after catch!
