That tweet is all kinds of confusing... He's the weakest corner on the team but his side of the field is the 2nd best in the league? The other side of the field is 25th in the league in comparison..

I was thinking that same thing.

No, Griffin's side is 25th in DVOA and apparently Flowers' side is 2nd. It was awkwardly written, but the main point is Shaq is 53rd out of 61 CBs at a 40% success rate per Sports Info Solutions.

That confirmed my eyeball observation, I have been surprised why OCs didn't target Flowers, the rookie, more .... perhaps after studying game films .... they figure out that they had better chance targeting Griffin.

Griffin got to step up his game.

Not surprised but disappointing. He looked good the first two weeks and then has been torched since.

I remember specifically in the Rams game he put minimal effort against crossing routes and they lead to some huge plays. Was confused why he was seemingly running at half speed on a couple of them.

Griffin has been a bummer, outside the week 2 game.

Hopefully he figures it out

Yep, he made Jennings look like Sherm in his prime.

I still can't for the life of me figure out how he even made it onto an NFL team.

He. Was. That. Bad.

Torched?

We've given up the 3rd fewest passing yards in the league. Hardly getting torched. Evaluating crossing routes is a job for the coaches, not the fans since only the coaches know the responsibilities on crossers in zone coverage. Often that is a safety's responsibility since we usually ask our CB's to keep a lid on the deep third.

I think both CB's are doing fine.

The worst part was he went to NO and was not terrible.
