I'm listening to Brock and Salk and they brought up something I've been mentioning to family and friends lately. I've noticed a lack of fevered pitch for the Blue and Green like there was this time last year around the Pacific Northwest. There's definitely still a ton of rabid 12's, don't get me wrong. Blue Friday's are still very popular here and there's no question the 12's are excited, but that excitement, that feeling that the entire city, area and region had caught the Blue Flu, is not quite here this time. Local news broadcasts and websites seem to not have as much coverage or footage of Seahawks-related stories...
I wonder if it's because we've won the Super Bowl already and while a repeat would be thrilling, is it kind of like that satisfaction at the end of really good sex, where the drive subsides and you just want to chill? Trying to think of a better analogy but that will have to do, lol.
Not calling out anyone specifically, it's just a feeling I've had and now it's being discussed on the Brock and Salk show this morning.
