Watching a post practice interview with Tyrel Dodson I noticed this patch. Sorry it’s not more clear of a shot but the dude would not stop swaying back and forth throughout the entire interview.

Anyone have any insight?

No idea. Maybe it was a take on Hammerin Hamlin.

Not to get political or anything, but a hand holding a hammer/maul looks a bit like a union patch to me. Not sure why it would be on a football uniform.

Maybe something new Coach Macdonald is doing this year for defense? Playing off the Hammerin Hamlin? Just spitballing here.

Maybe the organization's is paying homage to Arm & Hammer for helping keep our jerseys squeaky clean and smelling nature-fresh, week after week, for decades, with their powerful, stain-fighting detergent.

I'm sure it's a practice motto. These are practice jerseys, even if he opted for game day jerseys as practice jerseys.

"Gotta swing the hammer" is a common metaphor for putting the work in to get better.

I’m pretty sure the NFL would have to “approve” any patch worn on gameday.

Since we haven’t heard anything official I’m assuming it’s only for practice

Hmm, it's probably political, sounds like a great excuse to revive another Pat Paulsen for President campaign!
1970's Paulsen: "Did you know that more Americans have been killed by handguns than in all our wars combined? Therefore, if elected, I promise to send every American to war, where at least he'll have a fighting chance!"

Maybe now it's...
2020's Paulsen: "I promise to give every Seahawks fan one pass play as a practice squad quarterback, so you can get hammered for free!"
Uncle Rico: "I'm totally voting for Pat Paulsen! Put me in, coach, we'll win state!"
Seahawks Medics: "Next!"

IIRC, Paulsen is even from Washington state.

Where is that picture from?

It's a screen shot from a YT video of Tyrel Dodson's Day 3 interview.
