is falling again.

Jeez, ya, it was ugly, but ya know, we won. We are still the best NFC team in the land. Another ROAD WIN. Wilson still threw for 2 TD's. The defense had two 2 int's and a Forced Fumble, we had zero turnovers.

I, for one, am going to enjoy this nail biter and prepare for an awesome game next Sunday against the Bucs.

Enjoy it while you can.

The sky isn't falling into Russell Wilson gets hurt.

Which is about 2 more games at the pace of punishment he's taking. We're so en vouge in getting our QB hit, that we'd rather run a read option QB keep to the outside from the 1 yard line than hand it off to Lynch

I guess that makes us negative nellies because it bothers us.

St. Louis is probably the best rushing front 4 the Hawks will see all season, so I agree, I think it's definitely a lot of overkill here right now, but you have to be concerned with that o-line. It's not just the tackles either- a couple blatantly bad penalties by Sweezy and a missed block by Unger that led to a sack. And while they were stacking the box, it's still incredible that Lynch only has twenty some yards.

What I saw with the O-line was that the coaches intentionally chose to leave the front 5 on their own and not max protect. Often it was 8 on 5 and we lost those battles every time.

The optimism is refreshing. And, it is awesome to see our D step up big time when the game is on the line. They haven't been locking down #1 stats, but they have been putting games into the W column for us all season.

Still, our offense is a wreck right now. We have amazing weapons in Lynch and Wilson, but we haven't been realizing them. I've been concerned about Bevell's play-calling for a while, but tonight's complete lack of adjustment was terrifying. They have got to find a way to protect Russell or we will very, very quickly become a one-dimensional offense with no chance of winning in the playoffs. Then there is Golden Tate. That kid is electric. The taunting, as ridiculous as it was, aside, Golden is an amazing play-maker. That touchdown pass was way behind, and it looked like it was going to be a pick. Tate stole that ball back and took it to the house. He consistently finds extra yards on passes, and he's always looking for a lane to make a big play. He is also averaging something like 11 yards per punt return (I think I saw that stat tonight). People are always calling him a poor-man's Percy Harvin, but I think he stands on his own. When we have 2 dynamic receivers on the field, opposing teams are going to get their breath caught in their throats every time we get a completion.

So, I'll chalk up the win and find this one thing to get excited about on the O side of the ball.

overkill? seriously? Bevell will cost this team a championship at some point. he is pathetic and the whole world saw it tonight. He was exposed. Sure, the o line was a problem, but if you are smart, you find a way to compensate for the deficiency. There is zero creativity in our playcalling, zero ability to adapt. I hate that we have one of, if not the best team in the league, and its being wasted on our sorry excuse of an o coordinator. How many screens did we run? how many times did we give the tackles help? A chip here or there? These are all basic things you do to counter an aggressive defense. He's a joke. Is the sky falling? no. But i can almost guarantee you that if we don't live up to our expectations, D Bevell will have a ton to do with it.
The only reason we won is because Clemens was at QB. Bradford plays, we get schooled on MNF for the world to see and drop to 6-2.

Keep in mind though, that the Rams were built to beat the Hawks, and also the 9ers. They have had our number the last 3 games. We just need better schemes to put them away.

So far The 9ers have been better at this than us.

The complete lack of a shift in the offensive play calling in the second half shows that Bevell has no idea how to counter the holes we have on the oline. Either that or the whole oline is too dense to memorize the 2 page playbook. Example:Wilson is getting pummeled within an inch of his life all night and on our goal line stand, you hazard the franchise TWICE on keepers. :34853_doh: And right then and there was when he lost Lynch!

That being said the Rams always come loaded for bear when they play us. The last three have been nail bighters. Well done by the Rams.

In the big picture, heck yeah I'm still optimistic. This is the best ever start for the Seahawks and they're winning on the road.

But man, we're going to have to hold on for our OTs to get back and it's probably going to cost us at some point. Thankfully, we'll chalk this one up as a W and move on.
