Didn't some you say that we were so lucky to have Beastmode who gets it done in the redzone and on crucial short yardages. Beastmode is supposed to be our strength and offensive identity and we couldn't get it done on 1st and goal and second and goal from short.
The hard-nosed run game is our identity and we couldn't get a single yard from 4th and 1? Now we blame the passing game that scored our only offensive points?
I don't blame the running game either, this is almost if not completely on the defense IMO

Kearse and Baldwin had a total of 18 passes thrown to them today for a net result of 99 yards.

This just ain't good enough, folks.

Again, with the semblance of an effective passing game in the Red Zone, we would have won this game and still be alive for a playoff shot.

Wilson and Lyncn were fighting like hell for this team.

problem is not one other player has the ability to make a play at all.

This guy gets it. People blaming Wilson for this game are ridiculous.

Agreed. Our Defense was overmatched today.

our defence got paid! no one playing for $ right now. no run stuffers to replace the guys we lost.
Man I don't want to belive it but it looks that way . Way to far of a fall off from last year .

Wilson's accuracy was much improved, though still a little shaky at times. He looked much better this week than in the last three.

Red Zone futility.

As great as Marshawn is, inside the 10 the box will be stacked and Option B has to be executed.

Time after time this year, Option B has failed and as a result we are out of the playoffs.

option B was dropped by Kearse and the other option B was pushed off the route with no call.
Over all when you look at the whole body of work . We just can't pass the football.

But the Seahawks passed better and ran better than the Chiefs, yet they lost. What they didn't do better was score Tds in the redzone. That's what cost the Seahawks the game.

Too many people have no idea how to spell "lose". I fear for the future of our country.

How many seasons are we going to say this?

Have we ever won a game in the last 3 season when a team scores 24 or more?
Holding a team to 24 on the road, with a depleted defense is not that bad. The offense just isn't very dynamic.

1) Blame it on a beat down defense when the offense had the ball 3 times in the 4th to win the game.
2)Then say it was completely on the defense.
3)Profit!

The team is built around having a great defense. More money is going toward the defense than it is the offense.
KC basically did what they wanted on offense, TD, TD, fluke fumble, FG (lucky that wasn't a TD) fumble offense gets them the lead. Defense gets gashed again.
Taking into account all the circumstances (KC's good borderline great d, especially at home, weather, etc.) the offense played well.
The defense were the one's doing all the talking all last offseason, perhaps it's unfair to put most of the blame on the defense, but I expect a lot better.

KC went 3 and out on two drives by going ultra conservative. Had they needed to score at the end of the fourth I have no doubt they would have. Our defense was nothing special today.

It was incidental contact and Baldwin gave up on the route.

Hardly incidental.. he got shoved in the back lol

Anyone who thinks Thomas is not playing at a high level because he got paid, is not watching the game. He was our best Defender today imo.

We slugged it out with them and coulda won. Why do we throw to Helfet with the game on the line? 2x no less?

Good question but who do you throw it to;

Baldwin an undrafted 5-10 WR who would be a #3 on most good teams.

Kearse another undrafted Wr who would be on the bench on most good teams and who dropped what would have been the game winning TD?

Richardson a 6 foot rookie Wr who has done little

Norwood a 6-2 rookie WR who has not been given many chances?

TE Wilson-who has shown he can drop as many as he catches

Helfet enough said

That is the problem we have no pass catching threat that would even be on the file don most good teams. Add to that our play calling/route trees are pathetic and oline is not much better.

The covered us man to man most of the game and our WR could not get open at all, with out Wilson scrambling to help them.
