Sure if you took the 10 wins at face value and didn’t watch how they won them, or how they lost the others.

Matter of perspective I suppose.
Well I watched every game wins and losses and from my perspective they pretty much matched my expectations for the year.
They most certainly improved the defense and teased what is to come with a full scheme and personnel.
The offense struggled to find its rhythm and identity for several reasons. Rookie OC, highly suspect O-line and a QB working in a brand new offense and having his own mental struggles.

I anticipated this team to be up and down. Everyone here pointed endlessly to all the questionable aspects of this team and yet are somehow disappointed when they ended up playing exactly as expected.

This team, warts and all is looking at a chance to win their 10th game and the division in week 18. I literally begged and prayed for seasons like this through out the 90’s(70-90 from 1990-1999

I don't think there was much luck in the game

Maybe that Curhan held or jumped offside? Inopportune penalties, but not unexpected for Curhan and what he was facing

The bears offered little.

Seattle was far from good, especially on offense ..... Thankfully they didn't need to be, but they were ahead the whole game and the bears posed zero real threat

I’m all for a dash of Pollyanna and hyperbole but being realistic doesn’t mean we have to teeter on all or nothing thinking. We can admit we are at the bottom end of mediocre.

I try to not get my identity wrapped up in silly things and stay objective. But you are free to rap away bud.

We beat some crappy teams to have the record we do. And we lost to some crappy teams as well. And we got handled by better teams.
We’re definitely a c-, we have 10 wins, testament to our coaching and schedule. We can’t beat b+ teams but we can beat D’s and F’s

We just blitzed him everytime and he was running for his life. We ran the ball well and the blocking was there. Geno reminded me of Mike Tyson fighting Jake Paul, I was just waiting for him to do something but he just didn’t mind going down on third. And that strip sack was on geno he knew the rush was there and he wound up like he was throwing a knuckleball in 1927

Well my point actually is, “we got lucky” if for no other reason than The Bears Suck.

Still boils down to we got lucky IMO.

Am I the only one who never felt like the Bears were ever close to winning this game?

I know it was 6-3, but the way our defense played, it felt like it might as well have been 24-3. I only started to realize they still actually had a chance on that last drive (and for the life of me, I was far more concerned that I was just about to watch them tie it up and this was going to end up another 6-6 tie).

Our defensive looked impressive, I don’t know how much of that was cause it was the bears though
