I agree with you, the refs appear to call the games to give some preferred teams an advantage.

That hit on Wilson should have been called and the offensive pass interference negated a great play.

I wouldn't have called the roughing the passer call no matter who the qb is, but I've seen refs call it for less, including calling one a few weeks ago that benefited us that I wouldn't have called.

As for the OPI, it's impossible to tell by the video shown. I'm sure there's a better replay than the video shown. OPI is often not something you can see when following the ball.

I can believe that, I’m just saying that one replay isn’t enough to convince me without more details since I didn’t see it when it happened. With what you’re saying I can believe that it was a false flag.

It's so easy for the refs to put their thumb on the scales for one team or another, you would not even believe it. For example, you can cook up a ticky-tack holding call on just about every single play. There's always something going on somewhere in the fray that at least looks a little bit like holding. So if you need to scuttle one team's big play in order to help the other team, just find a "holding" to call. Happens all the time. We saw bullshit like that out the yin-yang, like nobody's ever seen before or since, in Super Bowl 40.

I've never been a fan of the suplex tackle and think it should be banned. But its not and wilson was trying to extend the play and opened himself up to a bigger hit is why I don't think it was called.

The OPI was a bad call. But the other play is a 50/50 call on the game's final play, where the referees would be bailing out the offense. So I don't mind the no-call there.

The more physically tough/athletic a QB, the less protection they have received from officials over the past 15+ years. Cam Newton is the prime example of that rule.
