Looks like the VMAC is getting significant renovations and expansions to it starting this year. Pretty cool to see this start before any ownership changes and bodes well for the long term.

Didn't think they had that much room between the freeway and the lake, but yeah, nice to see the investment in facilities for the team.

Lawyers and accountants, ensuring that the team doesn’t get sold, despite technically being on the market.

They're doing this for the fans, and the team. Spend that money before anyone can say no.

And having such a classy culture will be attractive to a prospective owner. When you're spending 10 billion to buy a team, the money they're spending here is peanuts.

Plus, gotta turn it in to a shiny new toy that attracts buyers.

One thing though, if they had been a garbage team this year, they might not have done the upgrades.

That, and lets not forget the VMAC is already 20 years old. A lot has changed in the league in the last 2 decades so it only makes sense an addition and interior refresh is called for. When it comes to buildings, especially as complex and large as VMAC, you must stay ahead of any and all design and construction needs. And, this is purely speculation on my part, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Mr. Allen had intended to do something like this at the 20 year mark from the beginning.

I tend to agree with one of the comments made on that site. That it may have to do with some low grades in a couple of areas of the NFLPA report cards that came out. Maybe they're listening and trying to improve those areas.

I thought the practice facilities graded pretty well. What about Lumen field, that got a failing grade?

Why not brick the windows up rather than grow trees right in front of them?

The artificial turf was graded F. The turf is going to be replaced with natural grass for the World Cup matches. I don't know what surface will be in place for the preseason and beyond. I'm sure it won't be 'soccer' grass which tends to be a bit slippery.

They got some C's in a couple areas. Treatment of Families, Training Room, Training staff (not enough), etc. Maybe they're expanding for those areas specifically, who knows, but could be.

The weight room can definitely be upgraded. I’m glad the team said the current weight room is not good enough for 2026 standards. Some college programs have better weight room facilities than some NFL teams. The Seahawks can use an upgrade!
