The overarching belief by Vikings fans is that Vikings GM Kwesi let Sam go because he needed the cap space to upgrade the OL.

Well since Sam was let go (and came here), this is the result of what Kwesi did :

1. Allen and Hargrave were both cut viewed as too expensive for their production and age. So he proceeds to over pay for them.
2. Signs Kelly who’s had health concerns with no back up option.
3. Overpays for Will Fries
4. Knew Darrisaw wasn’t going to be 100% and signed fricken Skule.
5. Let go of Harrison Phillips, their only run defender.
6. Wasting a pick on washed Adam Theilan.
7. And another underwhelming draft class.
Banner year for Kwesi.

Hindsight being Hindsight, I'm sure if Vikings fans could predict that this would be what Kwesi did, they would've clamored for Darnold to be re-signed. LOL!
