UW athletic director leaving for Texas A&M

From the outside perspective it seems like hes done a nice job with the pederson hire and the husky stadium improvements.
Hope they find someone good to replace him who will keep the program on the upward trend. As fun as it is to beat you, the rivalry will be even more fun if we're battling for Rosé Bowls and such.

Both sark and Petersen were the right hires at the right times. Sark dug the program to out of a very deep hole, and Petersen is on the precipice of taking uw to the next level. With the stadium and facilities being upgraded and the coaching solidified, Woodward leaves things at a good spot. Best of luck to him.

Almost guaranteed that UW will name Jen Cohen (http://www.gohuskies.com/ViewArticle.db ... =209289918) as interim AD, and would not at all be surprised if she gets the job permanently.

She's fantastic at fundraising and development, but has no record that I know of with hiring/firing coaches.

I've met and spoken with her probably 50 times, and I like her a lot, but I have no idea how well she'll do. I think it will help her that Romar and Petersen should both be in fairly stable positions so that if she does get the job permanently, it will be a few years before she's making tough decisions at those two spots.

Good riddance, Woodward was a loser and Sark was a wasted five years. Peterson is yet to be determined.
