Maybe, just maybe, Lynch didn't go with the team so he could go back to rehabbing the next three days instead of wasting that time flying back and forth and spending two days in mini.

Yeah it's a waste of time supporting your teammates.

If he aggravated his injury what rehabbing is he going to do the day after that wouldn't risk further injury?
So him being a well paid cheerleader is more important? Yeh right.

. I think if it was the team would have him there.

Those tweets make it seem he didn't inform the team he couldn't go, they just found out when he didn't board the bus or close to that time. That's how I interpret "sudden". Danny's comment about something having gone sideways seems on the mark, hope we get to find out someday what really happened.

If I'm Marshawn and worked my tail off trying to get back and ready in time, then Pete tells me Christine is gonna get the majority of the carries anyway, I'd be pissed. Not sure at all if this could have happened or if Lynch would even feel like that. But there's gotta be some oddball reason as to why last second he didn't travel with his team. Don't flame me either for my wild guess guys. It's just a GUESS
Quite a bad conspiracy theory. All indication was Lynch was looking great and full go to start. Pete never stated otherwise.

I think you have not payed very close attention to Lynch and his relationship with "the team" while he's been here. What the team wants, and what Marshawn does are 2 different things. Marshawn does, what Marshawn wants, and this is the result of allowing that. In the dark till the last minute...then...yeahhh.....no thanks.

He's rehabing and you guys want him to stay in a city that is like 10 degrees above freezing? Outside on the sidelines at that?

I'm sure the team knew about Lynch's weight when they ran him through the gamut on Monday. Many RBs play well in this league at 195 pounds or less, and it didn't bother Pete.

I don't know if I'd want Lynch to be sub-200, but generally speaking he's always played his best football when looking trim.

I suspect Lynch gave hints that he might not be ready all week, because Pete ended up listing Marshawn as questionable after speaking in more absolute positive terms earlier in the week, and warned media members that Lynch was not a sure thing to go only a few hours before Lynch held himself out.

Personally, I think we'll do just fine without Marshawn this week. If Seattle finds a way to lose this game, I doubt I'll be blaming Lynch. Michael's fumble rate in the NFL is starting to approach the same fumble rate Lynch had in 2014, and we weren't complaining about Lynch being a fumbler that year.

The only part that bums me out is that there is maybe a 20% chance Seattle loses this game, which means there is a ~20% chance the Marshawn Lynch story could come to a sad ending in Seattle.

And if we lose this game then Lynch basically sat out for nothing. He was looking good in practice. If he didnt feel ready he'd have 1 whole day to make his decision to not play meanwhile be with the team in case.
He can sit comfortably on the heated seats in TCF with a cape and hot air blowing up from vents beneath those seats. No reason he shouldnt miss the game because of cold weather.

And waste 6 hours each way in traveling; getting to the airport, boarding, taxiing, deboarding, traveling to the hotel, traveling to the game and back and then repeating all of that to get back to Seattle. Don't see any benefit in that especially since he isn't a rah rah kind of guy. The team needs to focus on the game plan and what's in front of them. Having Lynch there adds nothing.

Keep him in his rehab schedule and maybe the odds of him playing next week go up.

It's important teammates support their team no matter what. Especially in the playoffs.

Where was your outrage last week when Graham wasn't on the sidelines in Arizona? Why didn't you post this quote a week ago?

I know it's a playoff game and I know that Lynch not getting on the bus is a bad look, but I get why he's not going and I'm not upset about it. If Lynch were on the sideline in street clothes and the game got sideways, the broadcast would make "Lynch is not playing" to be the storyline of the game and be making non-stop smash-cuts to Lynch on the sideline all game long. Lynch likes attention but not like this, and if Seattle loses I don't think he'd want his last game to feel like a documentary about the guy who didn't suit up. To me it's totally reasonable that a player in that kind of spotlight and situation would stay at home.

All Lynch has ever done is give all he has to this team. We might question his play when it drops off, or his health, but I would never question his heart or effort.

My guess is he didn't look or respond well yesterday and they made the last minute choice of staying back and rehab for the three days. Danny's tweets may just be a little over the top.

Or they may be taking it slow, he practiced and did what they asked and they may want him to rest, he may not have come back from practice like they wanted. They feel with the current line up they can handle Minny and would rather have him with no question marks against Carolina if that is who we face.

Not comparable. There was ZERO chance Graham could play while it was a high probability that Lynch would start this game. Don't say you werent surprised by this turn of events.
As intense as MMA training is if he cant even walk aboard a bus or stand on a sideline he wont be training at all. And if he can train the cant he participate in a playoff game? What kind of player chooses not to go to their team's playoff game when that is what EVERY player works so hard for.

Are you implying he cannot walk or stand? He cannot play in an NFL game and that's why he won't play. How do you know he cannot continue his rehab? You have inside info?

Sarcasm. You imply he will be training which is more important than being there for your team AS THE LEADER EVERYONE KEEPS SAYING HE IS. Besides what kind of therapy or training do you do on the weekend you planned to play a game out of town.
All indication was that he looked ready to go. He pulled out last minute doesnt mean he has arranged training or rehab as you imply. It is more the continuation of enabled behavior or entitlement that he is used to.

So he pulled out at the last minute because he's intitled and not because he's hurt? Jesus christ. I don't understand the vitriol towards Lynch because he's not there this weekend.

I think you guys are trolling me. You can't be cereal.
