Well my fellow Mariners fans...IT'S HERE...IT'S ON! Playoff baseball and we're in it. There's just an every pitch intensity to it that you just don't quite get in the regular season. I'm sure it's going to be nerve racking, but it's going to be fun too. Please, please, please win the first game.

Who plays first base if naylor is out? Do we just sub raley in for him or do we reconfigure other positions to get Rivas in there?

It's over

I'm hoping this is sarcasm, but if not, calm down.

We swept the Tigers in Detroit without Woo starting any of those games (it was Castillo, Kirby, Gilbert), and that was before Naylor and Geno were even on the team.

Detroit is a good team. They wouldn't be here if they weren't. But they aren't some kind of juggernaut or whatever. We swept them before without Woo or Naylor, and I don't see any reason why we can't do that again.

We got this.

Going into a playoff series without your best starting pitcher and one of your best hitters is definitely reason for concern. Of course we can still beat them, but this isn't ideal.

There is definitely a scenario where we lose this series without Woo and Naylor. Yes we should win, but the margin between these two teams is much closer now.

The more I look into today's game, it's basically a must win. We can't lose HFA and be down 0-1 facing Skubal in game 2.

It would be a lot to overcome needing to win 3 of the next 4 games, two of those against Skubal. Oh the pressure of playoff baseball. As much as I'm enjoying this all, I do enjoy my relaxed Octobers.

Not 100% certain but did we not beat them in the season series and Skubal twice going 4-2 without Woo pitching in those games and without Naylor plus Saurez and a few others.

Castillo beat them twice, Gilbert split, Kirby faced them once and won, the other loss was Hancock. Woo didn't pitch against them. Also, both series were played before the Naylor trade.

Castillo beat Skubal twice this year. As a matter of fact, Seattle is the only team besides Cleveland to beat Skubal twice, and Cleveland still lost to him once. Seattle didn't.

I'm relatively optimistic that we can handle the Tigers. Then I'm hopeful that Aaron Judge pulls his usual Dak Prescott by the time we face him.
