Quinton Jefferson has been a force and was never even mentioned as nothing more than a body on the DL.

Meanwhile Jarren Reed has been NOTHING like last year. Be it his suspension or what but when Clowney gets doubled, the rest of them aren't getting it done.

Who are yours?

Joey Hunt, that is one hell of a tough position and he took over for a really good Center.
David Moore, maybe not a lot of catches overall, but he has made some HUGE, crucial catches this season.
Rasheem Green, not huge numbers, but he is contributing quietly.
I would say Hollister, but he's getting a lot of love. That has turned out of be one of the smartest decisions of the season to bring him back.
Poona has made a lot of big plays, might not show up on the stats, but it seems like he is in the thick of things a lot, and makes at least one or two huge plays every game. I love how he plays the running game.

I'm going to add Cody Barton. The guy has played almost every ST snap and is now starting and had a very good game vs. Philly.

Great topic.

Ugo Amadi and Marquise Blair have been killing it on Special Teams!

Quenton Jefferson has never been talked about much from college on, but he's got the capability to take over a game. He just needs experience.

Good players Soulfish. JReex said something about Pete turning him loose in the 1st SF game to rush the passer, but since then he's back to playing the run, standing people up instead of trying to get by then.

I think David Moore deserves mention here. He's a pretty good receiver, languishing deep down the depth chart.

I'm going to go with Ciara for getting Russell on a diet so he can run again. Now that we are down to 4th and 5th string RB's, run Russell run is going to come in handy!

Seriously though I'm diggin' Diggs contributions.

Diggs - I will admit while i was excited when we traded for him, I had no idea what he would end up bringing to the team. By far one of my favorite acquisitions along with Clowney this season .

Close second: Hollister. I still cant believe we cut him, signed him the our PS then was able to bring him back. We would be SCREWED if someone else had swooped in on him.

George Fant. Dude is SO valuable. He is trying and doing a great job of filling Duane Browns shoes. Jamarco Jones. Plying LG, these two seem to be a great pairing and are backups.

I think we may be seeing the OL of the future. At least on the left side.

There are quite a few players that fit this thread. I am only picking one.

Jefferson as the OP stated. The guy has just quietly produced some very good numbers in our D-Line rotation. I really hope we re-sign him to a fair contract. I would also be willing to keep him and let Reed go as I haven't seen him do anything like last years numbers since his return. Jefferson though has only gotten better.

Poona and Mone can handle the 1Tech position next year. Re-sign Jefferson and perhaps Al Wood and draft another 3tech DT with one of our 2nd round picks.

How about Michael Dickson? Dude seemed kind of shaky earlier in his sophomore year — especially compared with his overall performance in 2018 — but has been pretty dang reliable for the latter portion of the season, pinning the opponents deep in their own territory with frequency.

Dickson finished the 2019 regular season sixth in punts inside the 20 (45.9%), and ninth in touchback percentage (6.8%). I feel his distance numbers (45.1 average yards per punt, 20th; and 40.9 yards per punt net average, 24th) are more based on the Hawks' offense and special teams play than his own performance.

By comparison, in 2018 he was 18th in both punts inside the 20 (35.9%), and touchback percentage (6.4%). Whereas his distance numbers were far better last season (48.8 average per punt, 1st; and 43.6 net average, 2nd).

I've been singing QJ's praises all year long. He's hardly ever mentioned, but when he missed time, the line suffered dramatically. Moreso (IMO) than when Clowney was out. Now, I wouldn't say Jefferson is a better player than Clowney, but he's been a workhorse on that line and deserves every bit of recognition he can get.

I wanted to come in and be contrarian but almost everyone is listed. Green has flashed more than I thought he would and by next year I could see him being a major factor.
