Cool. Stupid choice, imo. Why in the world would you want to play for a crap sammich like the Raiders? He should wait until an actual contender needs a guy. And he's gonna' double down with geDEWSH? Love you, Tyler, but what a strange decision. In your final year in the NFL, it should be about winning. Clearly it ISN'T. And I'm not buying any of that "mentor" crap. No. Final season in the NFL, you should be trying to get a ring.

I will never understand it. But, oh well. His decision.
Maybe Lockett is scouting out the Las Vegas real estate market while he's there ;)

Tyler is now 33 years old, past the age when a large majority of wide receivers fall off the cliff. I wish him well, but I don't expect him to contribute that much.

If there is anything left to Lockett, Geno might be the best able to extract it. Best case they rekindle chemistry like Mac Jones and Kendrick Bourne.

Funny speculation (my take), could Me3 be next to rejoin the band? I know the story of how Russ wanted PC & JS fired, that's why it's pure speculation.
But before the dust settles in Raider's land, Pete will have Seahawks 2.0 being built.

He just wants to play football. He said as much on his way out of here.

Kind of pains me to see him go there though. I have a lot of respect for the guy.

Isn’t it funny/strange that so many of know what’s best for someone else?

TL is at the point/stage of his career/life that he certainly knows what he wants, and where he can make concessions.

We are bunch of presumptuous phucs aren’t we?

TL is a class act, as far as I know a 💯 stand up human.
My opinion is he should do whatever he thinks is best for him and his.

My hope is, at some point efforts are made for him to retire a Seahawk. If that doesn’t happen by chance or choice so be it.

Man, I really want to root for the Las Vegas Seahawks but damn they are rough. Poor Crosby. Wasting his talent in such a purgatory of a team.
This. I read something a while back that he has made it clear that he is never leaving the raiders. Period.

That is very sad - they guy deserves better.

Hopefully they make him pay him like Myles Garrett. At some point, the money matters more than the ring.

Not saying I know what's best for him. Just MY opinion that he should have waited to get on a contender. It's not that important anyway. It's the Raiders, they stopped mattering a long time ago.
His choice, rock on. Tyler is a grown man, and a hell of a class dude. Do you, Tyler, even if it seems like a strange decision. TO ME. That's all.

I agree. It’s not that either of us are literally telling Tyler what to do. We just have differing opinions as fans as to what we would do were we him.

The move benefits not just Lockett but also Geno and Pete. Pete is providing Geno a legacy target he was successful with at no cost to the team. And never underestimate veteran chemistry, which is why Kendrick Bourne has excelled as a wr1 under Mac Jones whereas without him, Bourne likely would be either on a ps or waiting for a call from a couch somewhere.

Tyler will get more trust and thus more targets in Vegas than anywhere else, and will be given a longer leash than the titans let alone anyone else would give him. I hope he makes the best of his opportunity.

The probable reason Lockett signed with the Raiders is simple: they gave him money.

I don't get all the talk about "contenders". If Lockett cared about that, he wouldn't have signed with the Titans in the first place. He has been AWFUL this season. He is not going to elevate any contender. Hell, opinion of him before the season wasn't great, as he had limited visits and ended up signing with the league's worst team for peanuts. The Raiders could have had him for less than we signed MVS for, and didn't want him. They're only doing it now because they have a first-year GM who is desperate to not look completely inept in a season that is rapidly getting away from him, likely heavily-influenced by an aging coach who is desperate to not look like he's washed up.

He could wait to see if injuries allow him an opportunity with a better team, but each week he misses is less money he gets, and at this point, it's pretty obvious that his main focus is on getting that last bag.

It's an opinion, we all have them. Some of us think he should have gone to a contender instead. Then again, maybe this is exactly where we wants to play. Or other teams didn't throw him a bone. He certainly wasn't tearing it up in Tennessee. Father time is undefeated.

The reason they’re signing Tyler is the same as why the Niners grabbed Bourne: Quarterback chemistry. Bourne is wr1 with Mac while being practice squad caliber with Brock. Pete’s priority remains fixing Geno, and pairing him up with his security blanket receiver would do that.
