That list is bogus... No way does GB make top anything in any defensive catagories.

I wouldn't be surprised though if the Cardinals end up top 5 in yds allowed.

Absolutely agreed.

I like the Niner D, but I can see putting Seattle on top. they allowed the fewest points last year. I can live with that.

Seattle, SF, Houston, Chicago....I can see those.

GB? WTF?

Ok I agree GB has no business being on that top 5 list unless some massive move none of us have seen coming.

I think Seattle & ninnirs are just about 1 and 1A as far as defenses. But this is without either team playing a down of "real" football for the 2013 season.

So think we all need to wait a bit.

Also what are you ninnir guys doing in here discussing moves back to back on a Seahawks forum? I'm beginning to think you don't have some ninnir forum to post at.

:?

Maybe not top 5, but I can see the Packers in the top 10. They're main problem is they can never stay healthy on that side of the ball. They have some guys that I like though. Young guys like McMillian, Heyward, and Perry showed a lot of promise last year. Brad Jones has been a pleasant surprise at ILB. And I always liked Jolly. I think him returning could help bolster their front. They have some pieces. They do lack depth in key places like LB and safety. But it isn't as far-fetched as some may think....IF they can stay healthy. And that's a big "if"

Being the #1 defense in the league is irrelevant really. You need to be tops in a few key areas though. Just look at the last few SB champions. Points allowed, red-zone defense, 3rd down defense, pass yards per attempt. If we're top 5 in those, we'll be just fine. No matter if we finish outside the top 5 overall or not.

Totally agree. In this division they would get carved up. The Niners slammed them IN GB and then embarrassed them even after SF spotted them 7 points. In a must win game they let AP run wild and Ponder looked like a QB. They have some good players and they get turnovers, but fail the eye test. They allowed the Colts to score when it mattered too. Kaeperstank made it look easy in the playoffs.

If RW had them in week 13 instead of week 3 the game wouldn't be close enough for a hail mary. They are simply one of those teams that can usually carry themselves over weak teams with a great passing game but can't handle the NFCPhysical.
