My gawd...they get all those Skin picks and now they are the leading candidate for Mariota? This isn't their year and next year won't be either. While nobody would agree with this, or admit to it, the Rams need to position themselves for the 1 spot. Seriously.

NFL.com is indicating it is an MCL sprain but more tests are needed. Likely will miss some games. Dude spent all preseason hurt too. At this rate he may not survive a year in the NFL.

NFL Media's Albert Breer later reported that Clowney suffered a sprained MCL and could be sidelined for awhile. Breer added that more tests would be conducted Monday.

I think Mariota is going to get killed in the NFL! Might be one of those great college QB's that doesn't pan out in the NFL. Think Jake Lockerish type NFL QB.

But Jake couldn't hit a barn. Shallow or deep. D's didn't have to much respect his passing game and could cheat on him, as concerned with his legs as his arm. Marcus can make all the throws. runs just as fast but much smarter. I'm a huge Locker guy...love the kid, but with all respect, SH, other than great humans with strong arms, I see few similarities between the 2.

Update on Clowney from PFT:

PFT has confirmed multiple reports that Clowney has a torn meniscus in his knee. Clowney is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, and to undergo surgery.

It will be Clowney’s second surgery since joining the team. Which puts him well on the way to winning the Cavity Sam award.
