I was NOT on the T-Jack bandwagon 2 years ago when we picked him up. I wasn't pleased about that at all, because he's a mediocre qb, and as we all saw in '11, holds on to the ball just a little too long. On the same token, I understood why the team grabbed him at the time. He was mobile and young, and Hass would have gotten killed behind that O-line.
I am definitely on the bandwagon for T-Jack as a back up though. He will beat out Brady Quinn handily. TJ already knows the system, knows the players, and knows the coaches and he suits the offense much better for what the 'hawks are trying to do. So, mediocre as a starter, but I would say well above average as a back up.
I would hate to see RW ever go out with injury, but I feel much more confident with TJ in there than just about any back up we could get, considering the other weapons we already have.
