This QB and this OC

He isn't ever going to be Tom Brady and likely never Andrew Luck even.

He could be good, maybe even great but not under this OC.

So there needs to be a choice, does winning matter?

Because if it does, this game and the success of this team need to hinge on the defense and the RB. Our QB does not have the tools and the skillset to carry a team right now, nor does he have the pieces even if he did.

I think under another OC he would stand a chance. Frankly, if we had stuck to the recipe, I think we would have been a contender. We tried to hand this team over to Wilson, in spite of the whispers, and it blew up in our faces.

Wilson is playing right now as a 2nd tier QB that got a lot of help from some great players on other parts of the team.

He can be great, but it won't be this year or next. This team needs to go back to what works, Lynch and the run game carries this team, the defense keeps it close and Wilson keeps the defenses on their heels. Period.

Or they could get rid of their OC and bring someone in that can use a QB that is not great at the classic QB stuff but very very good at all the other things that make him dangerous when playing QB.

Bret Favre couldn't win with this OC. True bill, the only success he had in Minne was when he audibled out of the called play to one of his own choosing. bevel was OC there, if you need reminded.

The most effective Russ has been this season is when the team goes no huddle and he's making the calls himself.

Good post. Collingsworth said it best. There was a graphic were we were at 6.1 ypc in the run game, and Chris said "go away from the run on first and second down, and now you're at 3rd and 9". Yes, we punted the next play.

We were on a roll when we were rotating Rawls and Lynch and pounding it with an up tempo. Once we got ahead, we went away from that and sucked. Seriously, it's almost like Bevell looks at something, sees it working ,and goes away from it. Now, I know he wouldn't do that because your ass gets fired for that, but it sure seems like it.

Generally the no huddle tends to throw teams off. Doesn't give them time to do proper substitutions, or adjust like they would be able to if teams just lined up in the huddle. What I'm seeing from Russell is a regression in skill level, that is not necessarily all Bevell's fault. His accuracy is off big time, he's missing some very easy throws and he is second guessing his decision making. He's starting to look more like Tarvaris Jackson than Russell Wilson. His pocket presence is atrocious, and his decision making is starting to be questionable. I think that the hits, and pressures are starting to stack up, he also is asked to do much more than he was his last two years due to our defense being weaker. He looks like he is pressing more rather than letting the game come to him.

Quite frankly we got blasted in all phases. Gonna be a long night for Pete and Co..

This was a whole team loss. RW and Bevell weren't getting stupid penalties that kept the Cards drive alive in the 4th qtr after the Hawks took the lead. Sherman had been awful the whole game. It's like he's an average CB all of a sudden.

Oline playing awful, wilson not good, running game was only good when lynch was breaking tackles. I counted at least 5 drops, 3 by graham.
Everything is bad on offense. And it starts with wilson and bevell, bevell being a lot more easily replaceable
