I think we're much better than we played today, but I think we played today about as good as I expected.

I didn't expect any blowouts. Early season games tend to be ugly affairs.

The Seahawks are getting good enough to win ugly games.

Under the circumstances, I thought we did well and about what I expected. They're D-Line is legit and the fact we pulled this 10am, 90 degree, road win off makes me feel better about facing the Rams D-Line this season.

I had hoped based on Petes comments after Atlanta we would come out a bit more aggressive on offense. Saying that and watching the first quarter I realized that our offense starters had not really played all together hardly at all this preseason, there was a lot of different groupings all over as we sorted things out so maybe that had an effect.

You need to give separate voting options for offense and defense, Aros. Very different answers from me at least, for those two aspects of our team.

I called an ugly game at and that's what it was. Looking forward to the Niners next week, but I'm a little worried about some aspects of our game. The O-line has to protect and communicate better and it will be vital to have either Clemons or Avril or both back on the D-line next week. The good news is that Kaep and the boys seem to still have communication problems; they called two time-outs early in both halves today. At home. The 12th has to be in full throat next week!

They looked about where I expected.

They will start peaking sometime in mid December.

I hope they don't wait that long!

More like sometime in November.

For shame. Had I only known how to appease you Roland.

I expected a knock out drag out, i was happy with the D providing all the back ups we had starting the game., however i did not expect to O to struggle as bad and as long as they did.
I underestimated carolina's d, i like what i'm seeing from Bevell already. I think this D is going to be monsterous at home, especially when we get our boys back in there.

I thought we were about what I expected. Pass pro, run D, and penalty concerns pretty much all came into fruition. At the same time, I never threw in the proverbial towel during the game, and had faith the team would somehow find a way to find to win.

There's going to be more games like this one. I don't expect us to hit our stride until a little later in the season.

I expected our running game to be better. But otherwise, I thought we were about where I expected to be.

I knew the Hawks would win this game. Winning on the road isn't easy. With 4 starters out and backup Hill missing as well you knew this wasn't going to be an easy win anywhere. Our winning percentage is better than last year.

Was very happy w/ the D especially w/out all the missing pass rushers and our enforcer Browner. I thought the O started about like I would expect but was very concerned at beginning w/ all the drops reminiscent of the first whiner game last year. I was very impressed w/ their resilience (thank you Wilson for your grace and leadership under pressure) and ability to get the ship righted along the way. I even said to my dad at half time we would win this one in the 2nd half with all the adjustments we make and being a truly 2nd half team. I think of the quotes from players regarding WR's "if he is even he is leavin" and think the same thing about this team. If we are anywhere near even at halftime we are winning the game.

I didn't think we played as well as expected, but the bottom line is "we had more points then they did in the end".... A win is a win and I'll take it!!!

about what i expeted. i thought we'd be able to pound the rock a lot better, but i'm taking that more as a commendation of carolina's front 7 than any kind of cause for conern with our runing game. i thought cam was going to run wild with all our pass rushers out, but they did an awesome job keeping him corraled. considering al the demons we were facing;10am start, east coast, humidity, heat AND a petty damn good defense, i'm happy to get the W.
