Its been a few years since i've done one of these. Used to do it every year. Just got inspired about twenty minutes ago so I threw it together. Not my best... but here you go...
Twas three nights after Christmas, up in Seattle
The Rams were in town, for a division battle.
The Superbowl banner was hung in the rafters with care
With hopes that another one soon would be there.
The players were nestled down in the locker room
With visions of glory and the Rams imminent doom.
With I in my "twelve" and my son in his "three"
We had just settled in to our stadium seat.
Then from the 12s there arose such a roar
The Hawks took the field to settle the score
Up to my feet, i jumped with a flash
Time to enjoy, this NFC West bash
The 12th man flag, in front of a sky of blue
Gave a luster of hope to all us fans true
When what to my wondering eyes could it be
The Seahawks return team, dancing with glee
With a little rookie, so quick like a rocket,
I knew in a moment it must be Tyler Lockett.
More rapid then eagles, his teammates took stock
And he whistled and shouted and pointed out blocks.
There Baldwin, there Earl, there Sherman and Kearse
Lets get these Rams, make them fear the worst.
To the top of the league! To the top of them all!
Now block away, block away, block away all!
As the dry leaves before the wild hurricane flew
With the ball in his hands he knew just what to do
So into the end zone the Seahawks flew
With a roar from the crowd and from Coach Pete too.
And then with a roar, i heard the crowd chant
Down on the sidelines, coach Fisher would rant
As I gave a high five and was turning around
Onto the field came the defense with a bound.
They were dressed all in blue from their feet to the head
Todd Gurley in the huddle was shaking with dread
The hopes of Hawk nation were flung on their back
They were poised and ready, to spring to attack
Their eyes how they twinkled, so focused, so ready
Invisioning another trophy, the glory and confetti.
The crowd amped up the noise as the snap was made
And they exploded off the snap in this game that they played.
They spoke not a word, but went straight to their work
And dominated the Rams like a bully and jerk.
When it was over, the Rams turned to dust
There stood Russell Wilson, again victorious.
He pointed to the heavens and to the 12's gave a salute
And drove off to the Childrens hospital, with all of his loot
But I heard him exclaim as he finished his media talks
"Another Super Bowl to come, and as always, Go Hawks!":
Merry Christmas everybody.
