If we are going all out on DL, and we let Williams walk. DL Newton might be available @#16. Then move into the 2nd rd and draft T'Vondre Sweat.

From my limited knowledge, I think these guys are better run stoppers than they are pass rushers. In that regard, I don't know if Aaron Donald is the best comparison.

Murphy can rush the QB, look at his pass rushing numbers and he has the intensity to fit into a Donald roll. He gives his all on every play.

Newton is the most comparable to AD in this draft. Sweat is nothing like him I was just saying for the Hawks D front. Sweat is a 0 tech, that I believe did have 5 sacks this year.

It doesn't make sense to let Williams "walk" and then use a ton of draft capitol to try to replace him. We traded away a 2nd round pick for Williams and he was our best defensive player outside of maybe Witherspoon.

Totally agree they should resign Williams 💯! We really need to attempt to draft DL Sweat or McKinnley. They are both 0 tech run stuffers, with pass rush abilities

You guys are missing the point here, Murphy has pass rushing skills ! Plus, he is a ball of energy on the interior.

Resign Williams.

I like Murphy but right now I see him as a pass rusher specialist. He isn't as effective as a run defender. To me, Newton spills into the backfield a lot more. Both as a rusher and as a run defender. He has much more tackles for loss in 2023.

One advantage of being 6'1"/300 is that he can probably get his shoulder pads underneath the center on a "Brotherly Shove" QB sneak.

I agree stud in college, misfit in the NFL. We need beef on the Dline! 6'1" 280lb is just gonna be whipped out on run plays. His teammate Sweat is the guy we need!

Byron Murphy II Texas 6'1" 300 DT

We could trade down twice and still select Murphy, he is a fire plug that someone need to build that dominant defense. Go ahead and take a look zee.

Cheers
To small, he'll get dominated like Kancey. We don't need to use high draft capital for a similar player to Puna Ford. There are some studs with size in this draft. We need to resign Williams, and draft a stud 0 tech wish pass rush Sweat, and McKinnley both fit that mold. As for DT ild rather look at Orhorhoro, Fiske or Taylor.

I don't expect Sweat to make it past the first round after Mazi Smith got selected at 19 overall last year.
